How Nit Jamshedpur feels like

Having a government college the administration is too slow to act upon and no proper maintenance of grasses and college campus is done. Campus boundaries are open which allows outside people to enter the campus.

Courses designed for computer science need some reformation in all nits including this one. Course structure is little old and new technologies like block chain and IoT needs to be taught. Though coding environment is cool here.

Job opportunities are good. This year lot of companies visited the college in first phase of placement session and almost 60-70 percent has been placed.IT majors like amazon,Samsung ,Ola,GE etc visited the campus. Tata steel and Tata motors were also major recruiters fir mechanical and metallurgy departments. Qualcomm for ECE and LNT for civil also visited for campus recruitment. There were some internship opportunities too.

Majorly three fests are celebrated in my college which include sports fest ,cultural fest and a technical fest. There are also some branch fests which is specific to some branches. Sports best is like inter departmental tournament where all 8 branches compete to become best and is most fun event. there is a cultural fest where all the teams like dramatics team and singing team from other colleges come and compete and people in national are called in night to give their performances like bands and singers and poets. Ojass is the technical fest where majorly technical things are dealt with like machine making or robotics or competitive coding is done.

some might say this is expensive college being a government one but overall its fees is feasible. around 2 lakh per year is the fee for BTech courses. And you also will get some rebate if your father income is less than 5 lacs.

Yes there are many good scholarships available which includes Tata cummins scholarships and some other scholarships conducted near here. There is an SBI inside my college which offers loan facilities around 8.5% interest.

Labs are not up to the level. There are many clubs which perform extra curricular activities. Sports team are good but their facilities provided are less. All the sports are played in the campus and interested students are very much welcome to the team

Infrastructures of hostel is nice and facilities are also good.Though maintenance is poor and management is slow but still it offers one of the best hostel premises. And infrastructure is good. Water and electricity is 24/7 available.

The senior students here are very helpful they are very humble and teach you some very important and great stuffs. They help me with my course,with sports and all other things. Though some might be wicked but more or less they are very good.

In JEE MAINS scored an all India rank of 9000-10000 and in jee advanced I got an all India rank of 15000-16000 so I didn't got admissions in IIT but got a chance to study CSE here. I was searching for all colleges and branches and finally taking everything into consideration I went with this

Okayish mean some are too good but are not comfortable in teaching such bunch and variety of students. Some are really good including their way of presentation. And are just bad I would say.So mostly you would like to depend on your seniors as they are good teachers too.
