Thinks you know about bolpur college

To be honest Bolpur college is not the best or very good college under Burdwan university. But it's one of the good colleges around our area. It is near the station, so you don't have any trouble finding the college.Our college is under Burdwan university, so the questions & rules are the same as other colleges under the Burdwan university. College had enough buildings & classroom for all the departments.Also there are library, student counsellor, common rooms. Every department has good teachers. At the end of the semester students scored good marks. Practical rooms are full of equipments, so you don't have a problem there. So basically i would suggest the college if you live nearby.Now the negatives are : cultural programmes, sports are not organised by college.

College is under Burdwan university. So all the exams & other activities are also happened by the rule of the university.Now as the new CBCS system , there are six Semesters in 3 years. So you have a Semester in every 6 months.For graduation students there is a main subject(honours) , a general subject & compulsory (i.e bengali or English).

This not a engineering college, so there no campus interview, internship & placements. It is a graduation college, so if u maintain a good cgpa. You will get a good college for masters. So that depends upon yourself to lead your life after graduation

The problem is there are not so events are celebrated in our college. In the start of the year we celebrate "Freshers" by welcoming new students.cultural programme, Dance & singing performances are included in that. Also there are many event like "Rabindra jayanti", "saraswati puja", "Teachers Day" celebrated in college.

Fee structure are not very expensive but ok.For the admission we have to deposit the fee on the college website online. Then we submit the receipt to the college. And again we have to pay the fee before examination. So in every semester we have to pay the fees two times

College doesn't sponsor or offer you a scholarship. If you applies for a scholarship, college will help you with required documents & certificates.if you have scored a good marks college will help you to get a scholarship.

I have got into physics, chemistry & computer lab so i will say the labs are full of equipments. Practicals are given the same importance as the theories. There is also a library, where you can get books ot study but silently. The sad thing is no tournament or sports are held by college

There are no hostels facilities here. Most of the students are local & day scholar.If anyone is from very far, he/she have to rent a house or live as paying guest. But there is a canteen in our college, so he/she will get daily meal in there.

Alumnis are also very helpful. They helped you about form fill ups, any kind of problem & also for you certificate & others.seniors are also helpful. They will help you to get admission. If any kind of fight happens,the seniors call the both side & solveed the problem mutually. They take care of all the college events.

After the result of higher secondary, i filled up the form & submitted the documents. The whole process was on online. After few weeks the merit list published & my name was included on that. Then i deposit the admission fee online. & they call me for verification. I verified my documents & choose my core subject, compulsory & others.I successfully got the admission & they got me a identity card.

Very good. I don't know very much about the other departments ( basically arts & commerce department) but our department has good professors.In math department there are four professors. And they teach us as much as they can. They are very frank to us & gives us advice on what to study & how to study & life decisions.we ask our outside the classroom & even on phone.
