Entrance Preview
Entrance test was- JEE Mains( earlier AIEEE). I took CIVIL engineering rather than IT because civil is a core branch. It has very good opportunities in Govt. sector as weell as in private sector. IT is very good in term of private sector packages.
Internships Opportunities
As far internship is concerned MNIT do not provide any kind of internship. They give freedom to students to choose on their own in civil engineering. Internship was only offered by few companies like L & T, Gobbsen, but in other braches internship offers were more especially in CS,IT,EC. Stipend is usually around 5k-10k.
Placement Experience
In civil engineering companies like L & T, Shapoorji, Bridge and Docks, etc. were there from the core sector. Also Indian army, BPCL,, HPCL some PSUs and government. Organisations were also in the placement drive. IT companies like infosys, ibm, etc were also for mass recruitment.
