Overall great lakes is a great place to stay and learn. However, there could be an improvement in inviting non-it companies for campus placements.

I opted for CAT and scored 92.5 percentile. I wanted to pursue a program of 1 year and great lakes was one of the few renowned institutes which excels in its 1 year pgpm program.

The course is intensive covering all the required concepts and the subjects which will pertain to the current corporate world. It gave flexibility to the students to choose subjects of their interest, the faculty is very well experienced and have a through knowledge of the current business world. The part time faculties come from well known institutes. Moreover, the faculty is very friendly and easily approachable.

The 1 year pgpm course does not have internship designed as the students admitted for this course already have 2 plus years of work experience before joining this course.

The institute works really very hard for good placements and has all the major companies visiting the campus. They also prepare the students with pre-placement trainings and make them well equipped with the current business world by arranging for constant and useful guest lectures.

The events committe of the college is pretty active and celebrates almost all the festivals ranging from ganesh chaturthi, deepavali, holi, dussehra, eid, onam, pongal. They cover festivals from every part of the country which inculcates a sense of unity among the students.

The fee structure is at par with the other well known mba institutes in india.the fees covers the tuition fees for the entire 1 year, the books for all the subjects, the hand outs and binders for extra reading, the mess and the hostel fees.

The college has tie up with hdfc credila for easy and quick education loan. There is no scholarship program. But there is a cash award for the best outgoing student in every batch.

The campus is one of the bests in india with all required amenities ranging from a good mess, a ccd, large playground, basket ball court, gym and activity rooms.

The hostel is very well maintained with all the air conditioned rooms and daily cleaning staff. The mess food is average with breakfast being the favorite of everyone.

There is goof alum connection as every student is enrolled to the alumni group at the end of the course. The alums help the students in choosing their subjects of specialization and for recruitment preparations.

There are 7 terms expanding over the full course of the 1 year pgpm program. the first 3 terms are common for all wherein the students need to get well equipped with all the compulsory subjects of all the domains namely- marketing, it& operations, finance
