Remarks

Overall the college provides a very good feel for being in a college and the faculty is also have a very good helping hand. The courses also are good where automobile engineering being a rare course in the whole of Kerala.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

A very good exam structure but the present university is very problematic since valuation is mostly incorrect by them and often exams tend to be confused. Also results of those written exams are provided almost after a year

Placement Experience

3.5

Ofcourse our College provides placements and job opportunities during the final year. No, the college doesn't provide internship. But provides necessary services for doing our internship. Also the students can decide where to go to the internship.

College Events

5

KMCT college of engineering hosts many events. The largest and the best being "Karma" which is usually hosted during the month of April. Karma is one of the largest events done by a college in Kerala and thousands of students come to participate in the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is flexible. Those who entered through the entrance exam and is of OBC has to pay nothing but their exam fees. And those who have obtained a rank of less than 10000 in the entrance exam has also the privilege for the tuition fees to nil. For others it's an almost eighty thousand per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes KMCT offer a very good scholarship as it makes the tuition fee to nil for those students who have got a rank of less than 10000 in the KEAM entrance examination and only amount they have to pay will be the exam fees.

Campus Life

4.5

KMCT has provided a very good support for all those extracurricular activities like arts and sports. Also they have very large labs which could easily aboard a whole class. The faculty also provide a huge support for the said activities. And also there is an average ground for playing both football and cricket.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes Ofcourse. The alumni association always helps to provide a huge support for the students, mainly for being those events held by the colleges students. Also they are an inspiration for being in that college.

Admission

I first applied for KEAM entrance exam after my +2 exam and then wrote the exam. Since I was having a rank of 6708 in the entrance exam, it was easy for me to join in my aspired field itself as automobile engineering.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of the college is actually good and very friendly to the students and helps both in curriculum and non- curriculum activities. Also they helps whenever we require monitoring. They keeps on motivating for achieving the goals.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

I chose this course because the curriculum covers key subjects like Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning right from the early semesters. The inclusion of electives such as IoT, Cloud Computing, and NLP made it future-relevant and versatile.

Placements are really good. Since college is related to ISRO maximum students with cgpa above than 7 are elligible for ISRO interviews and are selected based on their performance. Apart from ISRO many campanies like Texas Instruments, UTS, Mercedez , also come here for recruuitment. Many also opt for M.tech and MBA after graduation

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies - [KUFOS], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Food Technology)
Reviewed on May 11, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
