Course Curriculum Overview :

In the B.B.A course, which is for 3 years, we have subjects which focus on both international and Indian perspective. Our HOD, Mr. Tharthiose Paul, is a very experienced person and a great teacher. he is very helpful not only to the students, but to all the staff members. We have subjects divided into 6 semesters, where we are given exposure into various fields of interest like Business Ethics, its Indian Perspective, Business Mathematics and Statistics, History of Management. Also English is the compulsory subject like everywhere else. This is a 120 credit course. Written exams and internal assessments are done in the 80:20 format, where 80 marks are for external, or written paper in the subjects and 20 marks are internal evaluation in the form of viva, projects or other assignments. We also have to perform a dissertation in the third semester. Industry visits are something which we all as students look forward to, as they are very informative. They take us mostly to any manufacturing unit so we can understand their functioning properly.

Placement Experience :

As there is a placement department in every college, the Baselios Poulose II Catholicos College has a seperate placement cell called Vocational Information, News and Guidance(VINGS) for students. Because this college has a good network of alumni attached, companies like Infosys, Dell, HCL, Tata, Aditya Birla Group,Federal Bank etc come and offer job opportunities to students here. Along with giving job opportunities they also aim to guide the students for higher studies and other career pathways related to the field of choice of the students.

College Events :

The college hosts many extracurricular activities like the arts and music club, the women's cell, who has the whole and sole aim directed towards women empowerment. There are also sports and games held every year in the form of inter college or inter department competitions in sports and other games. There is also something called ASAP, which stands for Additional Skill Acquisition Programme. This section trains the students with additional skills required to cope up with the issues in today's society. Many other options for extracurricular activities can be initiated from the students with authority permission as well.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is an annual award ceremony held for students who outshine in academics. These awards bear some prizes which maybe in the form of cash, trophy or certificate. As of today, we are not aware of any scholarship which is in relation to percentage and fee waivers.

Campus Life :

Apart from the academics, there are many extra-curricular activities which the college happily hosts. NCC (National Cadet Corps) is one of the unit started by the college in around 2004 by the BBA Department. Students who have scored 75 percent above in academics are eligible to be a part of this unit. This unit gives the students a chance to serve for the Public Sector. Those who are passionate about serving for the public participate in this unit where they undergo special training. Other clubs like Art Club, Music Club, Women's Cell which promotes women empowerment, and also SHADOWS. It is the unit of all the alumni of the college which are globally spread.

Hostel Facilities :

In our college, there is a hostel facility for girls only by the name of Mother Teresa Women's Hostel. Hostel is fun because you get to meet people who have come from different parts of the world and interact with them. We have a varied cultural diversity in our college. Even though being in South India, you do not feel like you're in some other state because the people here make you feel like home. The security system is pretty strict, which is good for the student's safety. The college principal is the chief warden of the hostel, so everything is regularly monitored by the principal.

Alumni/Alumna :

There is a special wing called SHADOWS. It is the alumni network of the college which till date has around 2000 and more students which have spread out all around in different parts of the world. The college is proud to have such a huge network of students passing out from our college and making the college proud along with themselves.

Faculty :

Baselios Poulose II Catholicos College in Kerala has an amazing set of faculty. The departments like Business Administration, Commerce, Electronics, Physics, Statistics,Journalism and Languages etc was started around in 1995. All the faculties have a degree of M.B.A.,PhD.,M.Phil. etc. The faculty members are approachable in every sense. They are there for you to solve your doubts, guide you if you have any doubts regarding the future plans of studies. They are very friendly to the students and there is no teacher-student communication gap that can be sensed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is often traditional and that doesn't influenced me much. I think the curriculum is needed to be improved and regular updation must be added to the curriculum. More practical oriented aspects of the subjects must be provided to the students. Also real time experience with the domain will increase the skill set of the students and make them fit for the industry.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a commerce student i have always been interested in accounting and business so it was a good idea to choose BBA. Course provides deep learning about the inner activities for starting and maintaining a enterprise. It would have better if they provide an internship along with the 3 year course so that students can get to know about the subject directly

Course Curriculum Overview:

Anyone who wants to persue their career in management or administration sectors they can chose for BBA (Bachelors in Business Administration ) program from ST. PAULS COLLEGE KALAMASSERY. Every course requires some hardworks and preparations. This improvise your capabilities for implementing the applications of several subjects which are taught in this program. The timings of the exams along with the semester lessons are quite managable. You will be providing greater job opportunities if you have the potential to continue the advanced versions of your programs which you will be gaining from your UG level.
