Course Curriculum Overview
B. Sc Nursing is affiliated to - Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The medium of instruction is English. The annual intake is 100 and the duration is four years. This course provides detailed information about Nursing and teaches one how to be a nurse and the work and duties of that of a nurse.
Placement Experience
The college doesn't promise to provide any placements or job opportunities for its students. But a student is required to keep good grades so that he/she can apply for higher studies or be recruited as a nurse by big reputed hospitals.
College Events
Important seminars, events and functions related to education takes place. Along with this, Fresher's day and farewell day is celebrated. National holidays are given. Republic day is celebrated with joy and enthusiasm. NSS special camp and Women's International Day is also celebrated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is different for different courses. For some people it is affordable while for others, it might not be. But keeping in mind the facilities that the college provides along with the best education through highly qualified teachers, the fees is justified.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college doesn't provide any scholarship or loan facility for its students. But if one wants to take a loan then he/she can go to their respective banks with the permission of the Principal through his signature for the passing of the loan.
Campus Life
There are separate laboratories for separate departments. The college encourages indoor and outdoor games to keep up the spirit of the students. There is a canteen which provides good quality food at affordable prices. The college provides a hostel facility for its students.
Hostel Facilities
No. I haven't applied for the hostel facility as my home is very near to my college. But as per the information gained, the college provides hostels facilities for boys and girls separately along with good food , clean and safe water for drinking and electricity and internet facility.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is very strong and wide. Membership is needed separately to be a part of the alumni. A minimum amount of money is required and the permission of the Principal. Seniors are very helpful and friendly.
Admission
Pass in 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks in PCB ( physics, chemistry, Biology) is required. 40% marks for reserved category in PCB. Age should be 17 years as on August 31 of the year of admission. Admission is based on merit of previous qualifying examination.Admission of NRIs and foreign nationals is based on the qualifying marks in their core subjects.Applications are available in the month of April- May and selection in the month of June –July Admission in the month of September.Students seeking admission should submit a separate application to the college in the prescribed format, available in the college website www.fathermuller.edu.in
Faculty
The faculty members are all highly qualified and skilled in their respective fields. They are very helpful and supportive. They starts with the basics for every student to understand better. They provide notes and give lectures which are very beneficial. Each and every student is paid equal attention.
