Remarks

All faculties and management are Cooperative in nature and this is the best side. While the negative side is that all the buildings are very far apart which makes it difficult to walk from one building to another.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course Curriculum is well structured that is from low to high level. Like first C language & basics is taught in 1st year, then in 2nd year, we are learning about C++, Data Structure, Python, and basic principles of all programming languages. And then we will have to learn the detailed version of many languages and some extra courses like Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning etc.

Placement Experience

4

The placements & job opportunities are different for different branches. Last year, CSE placement was 100% and the average package was 12.51 LPA, in ECE placement was 95% with an average package of 7.61 LPA, in Mechanical placement was82. 85% with an average package of 6.17 LPA, in EE placement, was 85.88% with an average package of 6.51 LPA, in Chemical Engineering placement was 69% with an average package of 6.4 LPA. As I'm in my 2nd year so I will go for an internship in the 5th semester and obviously our college provides internships with a good stipend of Rs. 50, 000.

College Events

4

The two most big events are Techno search and Maffick. Both are technical events and continued for 3 days. In this many technical events like coding championships, project making, pubg championships and each day ends with a DJ night.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is different for different class of students. Like students with parent income less than 1 lakh has to pay no tuition fee, parent income between 1-5 lakh has to pay about 40,000 a year tuition fee and for other student it is about 80,000. So according to my view the fee structure is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college don't provide any scholarships rather reduce the fee according to the income of student's parents. But the National and State provide a number of scholarships. I have applied for the minority scholarship at National Scholarship Portal. There are many schemes under NSP where you can get scholarships

Campus Life

3.5

I'm not so much interested in sports but there is a sports complex where we can Gym and play badminton, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, football, basketball and cricket. For cricket and football, there is a quite large field and a special coat for basketball and volleyball. Badminton and other indoor games are played inside the sports complex which is quite big in size. The gym hall is also inside the sports complex. Now, let's talk about our labs. All the lab which we had to get in 1st year was in good numbers and well maintained but the labs have no good infrastructure. In the second year, we are provided with computer labs, which have all new computers and in great number but the lab rooms are not maintained with basic facilities like fan & AC. Now, let's talk about extracurricular activities like project making, paper publishing and some other personality building activities like public speaking, content writing etc. So, for project making and paper publishing the faculties are very much cooperative and thus easy to make such things happen. For other personality building activities, there are many societies that give great exposure to the students.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college has both types of hostels means new and old ones. New Hostels have good infrastructure which I have got, with a good mess food, wifi, playground, mineral water and well-cleaned washroom. At first, there were 3 students per room but in the 2nd year, a room is provided for 2 students. The management of a mess is handled by a mess committee which is a group of students. So the most important thing which is food is best in our hostel. You are thinking how the mess food would be best but believe me, our mess food is best. Now, let's talk about Infrastructure. So obviously yes, the expectations for a hostel in NIT are fulfilled. Each and every place is well cleaned. There is good space inside the hostel for playing mini cricket, badminton, etc. A sports room is also provided, where we have table tennis and a carrom to play. There is no congestion in space. There is a good space between the gate of every room and the railing. Each room has two cupboards, two reading sections, two windows and a balcony.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, this is the best part of my college. And from my view, this is the thing that makes my college NIT or a college of national importance. The senior students are obviously very cooperating like our own senior brothers but unfortunately slight rude to 1st-year students. By the way for any project making and career we often go to our seniors for advice.

Admission

First, I had to write the JEE Mains entrance test & I qualified for the test. I had got 201 marks out of 360 marks. Then there is a further process for counselling at JOSAA(http/:josaa.nic.in). After 7 rounds of counselling for different colleges (NITs & IIITs), I got a CSE branch in this college MANIT, Bhopal. After that, I came here to submit my documents & pay the required fee.

Faculty

4.5

Like all other institutions, our professors are also not all good but not bad. All the faculties are good scholars of their respective subjects but the way they deliver is the most important thing. So some teachers are able to give how much they have and some do not. But I have never seen this type of cooperation that is provided by our faculties and always boosting the students for projects and innovations.

After completing the four-year degree, the college does provide placement, but I don’t know much about it yet because I haven’t seen many companies visiting the college. So far, I’ve only seen four or five companies. There aren’t any major companies coming in. Also, when placements happen, it’s unclear how many students got placed, how many didn’t, what the packages were, or what the highest package was. From what I’ve seen, the placement seems to be average at best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum followed by the college is slightly old in comparision to iits and nits but it is better than most of the remaining colleges. But the curriculum could be improved. The curriculum is based on more theoretical approach and less practical approach for some branches. The teaching methodology is good . Teachers use smart boards if they need. The frequency of the exams and msts are good but they also include demo which makes it hectic.
