How is Chemical Engineering at MANIT Bhopal?

The HOD (Head of Department) and senior faculty members are helpful and care about the interests of students. Despite being a newer department (started around 10 years ago), the Chemical Engineering Department has maintained decent placement records. Compared to other departments, there are fewer classes, giving you more time for yourself to prepare for future prospects such as GATE, CAT, GRE, etc. The department has better infrastructure than many other departments at MANIT, and the labs have continuously improved over the past few years. Cons: There are no professors in the Chemical Engineering Department, only Assistant Professors. This can lower the standard of education, which may not be what one would expect from an NIT. Most of the courses are taught by Contract Faculties who can be rude, non-qualified, and excessively egoistic. The department has a skewed relative grading system where no one gets a perfect 10 in any subject, even if they score as high as 97/98. This diminishes the point of having a relative grading system. There is no library in the department, and even the college library is in a state of extreme disarray. Overall, if you are considering the Chemical Engineering Department at MANIT, it is important to weigh the pros and cons mentioned above. While the department has small class sizes, helpful senior faculty members, and decent placements, it also has a lack of professors, rude contract faculties, a skewed grading system, and a lack of library resources.

Which will be a better option, IIIT Naya Raipur CSE or NIT Bhopal chemical, in terms of placement?

IIIT Naya Raipur CSE is a better option, in terms of placements. According to the recent placement highlights, the highest and average CTC for the branch is INR 10.5 LPA and INR 43 LPA, respectively. The placement rate for CSE is around 100%. Microsoft, Deloitte, Adobe, American Express, Ericsson, Capgemini, etc. visit IIIT Naya Raipur placements.

Where is the best for chemical engineering, NIT Jaipur, NIT Bhopal, or NIT Calicut?

All the mentioned NITs are among the top engineering institutes in the country. Out of all the NITs in India, the best choice is NIT Rourkela. As some of my friends studied there I might be able to give you some reasons. These are: NIT Rourkela is famous for its Chemical Branch. The research culture of the institute is outstanding. The institute has been ranked 16th in the NIRF Ranking for Engineering 2020. It is way above all the three institutes mentioned. The JEE Main cut-offs are high. So, only the best students get a chance for admission. The college also encourages diversity. The fee and chemical branch placement details are as follows. Categories Chemical at NIT Rourkela Fee INR 8.22 Lakhs Minimum Package INR 3.6 LPA Average Package INR 6.58 LPA Highest Package INR 22 LPA The top recruiters include L&T, Reliance, Tata, P&G, Parle, ACC Cement, Aditya Birla, IOCL, PGCIL, NTPC, GMR Energy, GlaxoSmithKline, and more. Overall, NIT Rourkela is an excellent choice. After CSE and EC branches, the Chemical branch recorded the highest placements. The return on investment of college is decent. But you should opt for it only if you can deal with and function under strict regulations and laws.

Why do you want to opt for engineering? Is it because you enjoy Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics? If that’s the reason, then there are two possibilities for you. Joining IIIT Sri City for CSE- You can sharpen your coding skills and work better on Computer Science learning more about ethical hacking, cybersecurity, etc. This is how CSE would prove to be fruitful to you. But if we perceive the other side of the situation, if you do not hold any interest here, you might find it hard to cope with and eventually lose interest. Since IIIT Sri City is a new college, it will not be able to impart the essential communication/soft skills to you. Joining Chemical Engineering at MANIT Bhopal- Apart from developing a great interest in Chemical Engineering, you have the opportunities to either go for higher education via GRE or ensure placement via GATE. But again, comparing the other side of the situation, if Chemical Engineering does not spark your interest, you can go for other domains like Management. MANIT offers all the adequate communication/soft skills that would be essential for that. If you have no particular inclination, then choosing CSE may be better. As it has two domains, i.e. coding and non-coding. Plus, the internet is full of great ebooks and tutorials to teach you.

My College Experience: My odyssey of personal growth

i have paid 83500 as college fee, 18000 as hostel fee and 27500 as mess fee. Tuition fee=125000 ,caution fee =10000,other fee (development ,lab fee, registration fee )=24000, hostel fee = 18000 . for reservation quota (sc,st and other management) only tuition fee will be zero and other will be same. my batchmate is belonging to sc category and he is paying 79500 yearly (college fee,mess fee,hostel fee and others). SCHOLARSHIPS 1) MMVY scholarship for MP students and they will get all fee amount which he paid. 2) NSP for all state scholarship and they will get approx 60000 per year. 3) other state scholarships.

I took admission in MANIT Bhopal in the year 2024. The two sem fee is nearly aroud 100000. It includes tution fee ,mess fee and hostle fee.Coming to scholorships ,there are not much are provided. I applied to some scholarships like NSP , Reliance... Dont know when they will give this scholorship amount.

I am a first year student right now in MANIT I AM IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT . EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TO LEARN IN FROM YOUTUBE . YOU CAN HAVE FUN HERE IN HOSTELS ETC. The Weather Is Unpredictable here in Bhopal. Various Sports activities are held here. But there are too many restrictions on freshers (1st year students). Our hostel has a z+ security for us (haha)

Tuition fee - It consists of three categories as written below- 1. family income above 5 lakh - 70 thousand per semester 2. family income between 3 lakh to 5 lakh - 40 thousand per semester 3. family income below one lakh - No tuition fee Scholarship- yes there are scholarships like MMVY (for students of Madhya Pradesh), NSP, and other state scholarships. The amount of the scholarship depends on your requirement of money to fulfill your college needs.

The college that I really want

Tuition fees is 7000 per month and it's good and reasonable price for this course, 85000 this is the complete cost of my education per year, yeah I have benefited by national scholarship portal and this scholarship helps me more for my education.
