Good college in terms of placement

Very poor infrastructure and faculty.Very few capable professor are there. The college life is a bit less exciting compared to.other colleges.The placement statistics is the biggest plus point of this college. The food in the mess is also better compared to other college's mess

Course curriculum has been divided so that we learn step by step and not jump directly to difficult portions. Though it becomes hectic at first but after we get used to the new routine and syllabus, it becomes easy. There are 8 semesters in total and each semester has been divided into mid-sem and end-sem. There are practical examination also for each semester.

Placement and job opportunities are one of the best in our college. It is ranked among top 10 NITs on terms of placement. With strong alumni network, internships are provided by our college. PS: I am in first year so I haven't had any internships.

OJASS- It is a techno management fest with number of competition and prize money. Students from different colleges participate in it. URJA- It is a sporting event with matches held between branches and carried out with a lot of zeal and vigour. CULFEST- Cultural fest with celibrities as the guest performers. Cultural and Dramatics Society (CDS) looks after it's management and participation.

Fee structure is feasible with loans granted by SBI branch located in the college campus. Remission are also provided for weaker sections and reserved classes. However the infrastructure is a big disappointment.

I have opted loan from the bank located in the NIT campus. It has provided loans to many students like me. There scholarship provided by TATA. Fee remission are also there for economically weaker sections of society.

Not much extra curricular activities. Funding becomes a main problem in these cases. However events are organised at small scale by college teams like LITERARY AND DEBATING SOCIETY, CULTURAL AND DRAMATICS SOCIETY. Apart from technical teams,not much is there.

Hostel infrastructure is the best with mega hostels. First and final year students are provided different hostels from 2nd and 3rd year students. However there is no gym or proper lan or wifi connection which is quite troublesome and irritating. After first year, students are provided separate rooms for stay. In first year, two first uear students have to stay in the same room.

Alumni network is strong which is evident from placement and internship statistics. Seniors are very helpful. They help us in all possible way. Proper Interaction with them starts after URJA(SPORTS EVENT).

Through JEE MAINS, I got rank and then the cutoff was released by JOSAA and then I had to fill my choices of colleges and branches. After that I had to submit a seat registeration fee which locked my seat in that college. Then after came the process of verification and admission which was done by the respected college and not by JOSAA. Thereafter we were assigned our hostel rooms and I'd cards.

Not all are good. We have to study on our own. Very few teachers are good and knowledgeable enough to teach B-Tech students. Teachers focus on attendance and not on quality classes. Most of them copy the books or have a chit in their hand and copy whatever is written on that paper on the board.
