Remarks

The biggest positive about the college is that the faculty ensures that most of their students get job. The college location and infrastructure is undoubtedly the best of all the hotel management colleges. In all this is one of the best hotel management college in India.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Honestly this course is one of the easiest course anyone can do where the curriculum is mostly based on practical and as well as theoretical knowledge. There are four main subjects which includes 1. Food Production 2. Food and Beverage 3. Front Office 4. Accommodation Operation.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements and job opportunities are in abundance. There any many campus interviews and the college ensures that every student gets a job. As I am in my 2nd year the college has arranged my internship in the Mumbai itself where I reside. I got my internship in Novotel, Mumbai which is ofcourse a very good hotel property. The stipend for industrial training vary from a hotel to hotel. Highest stipend for the industrial training is provided by JW Marriott hotel.

College Events

4

There are many events that are celebrated in our college. But I'll tell about the main events which are Theme Dinner, Catafest and Fandango. Theme dinner is an event in which a specific theme of food is finalised and the students handle the entire event. Catafest is a cultural event in which the students can showcase their talents. Fandango is a food event where the students set up different food stalls in the college and do business with the tourists and local people. There are also many sports events that are organised by the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is semester wise. The fees structure is as follows 1st Semester - Rs. 68,350 2nd Semester - Rs. 42,200 3rd Semester - Rs. 57,950 4th Semester - Rs. 43,350 5th Semester - Rs. 45, 800 6th Semester - Rs. 39,250

Fees and Financial Aid

There are different types of scholarships which are available here. Some of them are provided by the Kerala government to the people who belong to SC/ST and OBC cast and are from the kerala. The college also provides yearly scholarship of Rs 25000 for the people whose annual income is less than Rs1.5 lacs.

Campus Life

5

One of the best things in this college is that it conducts various types of events and competitions. Which are Fandango, Catafest, Theme dinner, Sports day, Hindi pakwada, Chef competition and many more.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel in the college is very good. The mess is in the hostel itself. In one room 3 student's are accommodated and there is a common washroom and bathroom for 6 people. The food in the mess is quite acceptable but, the people who are not used to eat rice daily will find it difficult. The fees Structure for the college hostel for three years is as follows 1st Year - 54,000 (4000 is the deposit money) 2nd Year - 25,000 3rd Year - 50,000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the seniors are very supportive. They tell you about the hotel industry with you. They tell you about the pros and cons of the hotel industry. I met quite a few alumni who visited the college for functions. They provide their experience in the hotel industry. They also gave me their Mobile No. in case of any help needed in future

Admission

NCHMCT JEE is the entrance exam which I gave for the admission in this college. Admission is purely on the basis on rank you receive.I secured a rank of 4307.The admission is done online after the results. There are in all 3 rounds.

Faculty

4.5

The college faculty is very supportive. It is a well educated faculty with a lot of experience in the hotel industry. There are 2 HODs in the college. The Principal as well is very supportive. He encourages sports with studies. The faculty mainly speaks three languages viz English, Hindi and Malayalam. Some of the senior faculties are alumnis of IHM Mumbai and IHM Trivandrum. The faculties are also assigned the role of counsellors for there respective classes where the students can share their problems with them.
