I applied to only 2 colleges as my first preference was fergusson. So I only appied to fergusson and garware college. I got selected there too but as I got selected at fergusson while I was in dilemma whether to pay fees of garware or not , I decided to give fergusson a chance. So for admission process, they took an entrance exam for which we had to pay Rs. 800/- as processng fees of application and exam. So after giving exam the scorelist came and on the basis of that cutoff was decided for various categories. Yes,i do apply for one more college other than fergusson that is vogue school of design in balewadi. But the College was very far so i dont go there.and the reviews was also not good so i dont choose that College. No ,i do get any rejection from vogue school of design. I had heard a lot about Fergusson College in my school time, somewhere deep down I had always wished to come here and study also i did my bachelors from the same college so it was obvious for me to choose this place . Also FC has amazing faculty members which made me choose it. I gave the entrance test on an online platform for my masters course got second in the list and went straight for the admission process within a week after results were out. I had applied to Modern College as well and got my admission confirmed also but because i got into FC I did not do any further process for modern college. The admission process goes smooth , once the results are out we are called to the college for document verification and regitrations, then fee payment and college starts. The admission process for Bsc is based on the marks of 12th and for masters there is an extended exam.cutoffs for Bsc for general candidates are high for both bsc and BA nearly above 90 percent and for reserved categories it is less comparatively. The reputation of college is high in Maharashtra as it is one of the oldest college in India (established in 1884).some famous personalities completed their education from this college so this attracts students of Maharashtra and other states to take admission here .
