How is Fergusson College Pune for BSc in physics?

If physics is your passion, and you genuinely want to learn, this is not the place for you. One of my friends studied here and these are some things he mentioned. The faculty is good but they have limited course material. You would not feel like you have learned much. Most students take up physics in their final years because they know they can easily memorize the course material and pass. This is just so that they can improve their grades. Mugging up theories is definitely not how someone can learn science. They don’t have a real interest in the subject anyway and they would be your peers. The system at Fergusson is not great and you wouldn’t want to attend classes as it would not matter and you will pass your exams regardless. If you are only looking for a college life minus the studies and want to have some fun with fests and events, by all means, join Fergusson because marks and knowledge are secondary here.

Fees and Financial Aid:

In first year I paid 10000 as the category guide linesin second year fees was 12000 and in third it is nine thousand based on course and community guidelines there are no other charges for the course if the trip aor field visit occurs they charge the trip fees for other categories the fee is variable from 10000- 20000 depend on the course one could pursue like granted or ungranted various scholarships are there for different caste which reduces the college fees.

What's it to be a FERGUSSONIAN

The yearly fees are about 12500 for Non Maharashtra students as for me. For the state residents its around 11000 for General and decreases for reserved categories.The Maharashtra Government scholarships are promoted by college but for other students its on their own to find scholarship.

The curriculum is set at an appropriate level of difficulty according to our capabilities

The fees for FYBSc is around 13000, including tuition fees and lab charges, service fees and other compulsory charges. The fee gradually reduces for SY and further for TY. Many students avail government as well as private scholarships such as DBT, state scholarships etc. Apart from that, the college provides a very good chance of earning through the "Earn and Learn Scheme" which helps many students. The department also provides certain scholarships on the basis of exams conducted by the higher authorities.

Ferguson College - down to earth.

Ferguson College has grant in aid seats which means the basic fees are pretty minimal. But canteen things (administration related) such as late fees or or the fees for making transcripts are outrageous. All the commonly known scholarships such as the inspire scholarship are available. Campus jobs are just for namesake.

The average fee for (plane)BSc ranges from 9000 to 12000. depending upon your caste and category. There are so many scholarship schemes such as ( some are private and some are the government) Mahadbt scholarship, inspire scholarship (80000/per year, for selective students based on 12th score).

The fee structure is for one-year is nearly about 10,000 to 11000 rs and for the whole course is about 33000 rs. The scholarship is dependent on your categary and also you can take many scholarships from MAHADBT. And you can also join the part time job in verious department included library also. It is very nice opportunity for earn and learn.

Ya I know some scholarship for our college gives concession for fee for poor students which can't afford whole fees and also there is some scholarship for abroad studies in our college.which is given to students at proper time on the basis of their marks.
