Review by a medicine undergraduate

Negative remarks: The private canteen(mess) is corrupt and looting money from students. The administration is not easily approachable or accountable. Since this is an autonomous institution, the director has the power to do anything which makes things difficult for the students. Apart from these,the college is very very good.

The MBBS course is 4.5 years + 1 year compulsory internship. The subjects are anatomy, biochemistry, physiology (in the first year). Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, forensic medicine & toxicology (in second year). And clinical subjects in the next two years, Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, obstetrics& gyneacology, ophthalmology, ENT, orthopaedics, dermatology, psychiatry and cocommunity medicine(PSM) exams in final year graduating exam. The other courses are BSc and MSc in Nursing, and Paramedical sciences.

Job opportunities are very good. The college provides internship for students on completing MBBS, and nursing and paramedical courses. Although the internship is hectic and busy, there is lot to learn. stipend is provided

The college observes all national celebrations and festivals. Since the college has students and faculty from all over India, most regional festivals are also celebrated. The student's union conducts a cultural fest (Chiasma) annually

Fee structure is very.feasible. Since this is a Central government institution, fee is very less and also the salary is very good. AIIMS is one of the institutions where quality education and good facilities are available at (almost free) affordable fees

There are good scholarships for meritorious students. It includes national fellowship and scholarship for higher education of ST students, NTSE, STS, USMLE, and Smt. Shyam Lata Garg Scholarships, Sh. The extracurricular activities are very good. There is an active sports club and facilities including gymnasium, playground, basketball football, volleyball, and tennis courts. Other clubs like literary club, cultural club, Arts and dance club are very active

The institution has a residential complex in which students, interns, residents and faculty stay. Hostels are very good with proper electricity and water suppy. The mess(canteen) is run by a private company, YATRI. Except for the canteen, everything is good.

The senior students are very friendly and helpful. As of now there is no alunmni association but the students who have graduated from here are still connected. An alumni association will be formed soon.

Admission was through All India institute of medical sciences UG Entrance test which can be written by students after completing class12th/+2 in science stream. During counselling, one of the AIIMS can be chosen according to your AIIMS UG rank

The college has an excellent faculty who are good and experienced teachers and clinicians. The college also has junior and senior residents doing research and post graduation. Administration is also good although some student's issues are not properly taken care of.
