Remarks

The positive remark about college is, the college is green. It is situated inside green environment. The place is very calm and quite. Very good atmosphere for the students to learn each and every things from the college. The negative thing about the college is it doesnot have boyw hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course and curriculum is extra ordinary. Every subject is having a specialist teacher. They all are permanent staffs of college of engineering poonjar. If we join here, it will be great. The campus is green.

Placement Experience

Placements at college of engineering poonjar nowadays is extra ordinary. Earlier it was very low. Only 4 or 5 students were placed and also drives where very short. Nowadays more and more drives are coming.

College Events

The events celebrated at college of engineering poonjar are Tech fest, Arts, Sports meet, Games includes cricket, football, volleyball, badminton. Where as sports with all the athletics items. Arts will cover all the beauty that a college should have.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not much expensive. As it is a govt undertaken engineering college. The fee structure is very fine. The normal fee structure is followed by the college. Bus fare is also very low. Hostel fees also very low. Pta fund and all are very less compared to others.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no loan facility is provided by the college. There will be reservation for SC/ST/OEC caste. This students shouldnot need to pay any amount to the college exept the pta fund and bus fare. Thats about loans.

Campus Life

Extracuricular activities they supports are volleyball, football, cricket, badminton and any types of games. We can play any games in the college, as the college has a beautiful ground. Labs are very good and college has a very good library where we used to take books for examination reference.

Alumni/Alumna

Just on september 14 2019, we have joined for a grand alumini meet at college. Almost every batch came. It was a grand success from my point of view. Senior students are more helpful for the students.

Admission

I got the admission at college of engineering poonjar through entrance examination in the year 2013. After my 12th, I have written all kerala entrance examination and I got selection at this college.

Faculty

The faculty is very good. Every teacher is very responsibile towards their job and everyone is sincere. Their only aim is to make the students to get more marks and place them in a very good company. Rajesh Sir, Anjal Sir are the base pillers of the college.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
