BIT - An overview

It's an developing college and has excellent computing facilities and a combination of classic and modern Infrastructure.Except for its location little far from city it's an excellent option to stay there and explore.

Since the college has its Autonomy status, the course curriculum change according the demand of skill set and is created and executed accordingly. The exam structure we had during our period of study consists of two Internal exams and one external exam for each paper along with Assignments , open book tests and mini projects.

Placements are given much priority in my college and 100% placement is assured. Internships are provided from second year onwards. Internship activities are looked upon by department faculties and for placement related activities seperate team of training and placement department will look into it.

We celebrated many events like department symphosiums , project design contests, club events , culturals day, pongal vizha, sports day, hostel day , etc. we also conducted various seminars and workshops on emerging technologies and day to day activities.

Fees structure is based on the Guidelines provided by Government of Tamil Nadu. The Fees amount is affordable and it is more than value for money. Fees are to paid yearly once and no intermediate fees are to be paid.

Scholarships are provided by Government of Tamil Nadu and loan facilities are also provided upon submitting necessary documents. The college has its own FoF scholarship and is provided to needy students every year.

College gives equal importance to both co curricular and extra curricular activities. College has excellent lab facilities with advanced equipments. Sports facility has separate grounds for Athletics , football, volleyball, cricket, basketball, hockey, tennis, etc.

No. I haven't stayed in hostel however the hostel infrastructure is good and students can opt the rooms of their choice and stay. Separate AC hostel is also there and is opted upon ones wish. Secured environment and greeny atmosphere.

Alumni network is an highly active network and we have separate alumni association. The alumni network has its connection to over 10000 people and has its chapters in USA, UK, Australia ,and in cities across India.

I got admission through management quota. All the process of admission were clearly informed by college management and they helped us and they are in contact with us throughout. The process of admission took place at college premises.

A good combination of well qualified experienced doctorates and young professionals. They were qualified in different areas of expertise. They undertake different projects from SERB, DST, etc. They follow modern and practical way of teaching the concepts. They too undergo periodic training to accompany with growing world.
