Remarks

The college management is satisfactory. There should be a little bit of flexibility in the hostel management as honestly speaking, the hostel students feel prisoned and end up shifting to PGs to nearby places.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course has been designed for the overall growth of the student. The main focus is on academics but along with that, the curriculum incorporates behavioral growth and growth in communication skills. The course structure is a bit vast as compared to other colleges but it's worth taking the pain. The student may not feel the value of these extra subjects during the college days but will never regret studying them for the rest of their life.

College Events

3.5

Amity University believes in Unity in Diversity and respects all religions and languages. The campus has various student groups that comprise of the students of the same kind so that they don't feel lost in the crowd. These groups organize their festivals in and around the hostel area and are widely cherished by every student in the university.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fees depend on the type of course, the duration of the course and the popularity of the course. the course pursued by me was a bit offbeat and hence, the fees were slightly lower than that of students in other branches of engineering. The academic fees that I had to pay for the first year were 2,04,000 INR. Being a day scholar, the only thing that summed up my yearly expenses was the conveyance charges from my home to the college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

No scholarship or education loan was availed for and during the course of four years of B.tech program.

Campus Life

3.5

Talking about campus life, one thing can happen for sure. Too many faces mean too many friends. So in case you're coming from a different state and into a whole new environment, don't worry, give it a couple of days, you will gel up pretty well and find your type of people. There are various clubs which can keep you busy in your free time. so check out which club suits you the best.

Alumni/Alumna

When you are new to campus, your department is your new family and just like your family has elders, your department's family has seniors and alumni. These people act as your guardians over the period of time in the department and sometimes beyond it. My seniors were pretty helpful in getting me settled on the campus well. The best thing that helped the senior-junior relationship was the level of communication we shared.

Admission

The admission procedure was simple yet tough. Yes, it's true. The process comprised of an English proficiency test followed by an interview by the senior faculties of the respective department applied for. The proficiency test was good and almost everyone who is appearing can pass that. After the proficiency test is conducted, the students are called up for the panel interview where the students are tested.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculties here have an in-depth knowledge of their subject. They have a lot of hand-on experiences which adds to their expertise. They are very co-operative and are always ready to help the students wherever needed. They focus on the overall development of the student rather than just pressing them to study more. The student-teacher bond here enhances the learning of the subject.

Campus placement is not that good. Hardly 2-3 companies come here for foodtech. But there are job opportunities for this course. It is a growing field. Outside the campus, if applied in any company, there are chances of selection based on the skills and knowledge one has related to the field
