Ravenshaw University - An Overview

I believe that the messing and accommodation has to be improvised to a little extent. Even the academics procedure will have to less primitive and more advanced. Other than those, The placements and teaching faculty is highly satisfactory. On an average analysis, the college is on developing mode.

The B.Com course curriculum provided in our University is very dynamic in nature. I personally believe that the course provides managerial skills and improves our generic exposure. There are several weekly mock tests, Internal exams and External exams conducted to test a student's ability.

There are several placement and internship companies like Deloitte, Wipro, Hackathon, NALCO, etc who recruit students from our college. The college hence gives training on the tests and interviews to be cracked. The general stipend varies from RS 10000 to RS 32000.

Festival events like Durga puja, Ganesh puja, etc are celebrated with great ecstasy. Hostel functions and Annual Athletic meets are held every year with great participations. Department farewells, fresher's and fests are held in regular intervals. Even TED talks are campaigned twice every year in the college.

The fees structure of B.Com in our University is extremely feasible. The fees structure is on the basis of marks obtained in 12th standard. Students with percentage more or equals 78 are on merit list and hence pay RS 3500 annually. But students with percentage less than 78 pursue self - financing course and pay RS 42000 annually.

Our college provides lots of scholarship and loan facilities especially to the poor, disabled and unprivileged students. Scholarship amounting from RS 14000 to RS 20000 is annually provided to the above section of students.

The labs provided in every department is quite sophisticated and knowledgeable. Libraries are amazing and well updated. Sports are annually conducted for college, State as well as District level selections. Annuals Debates and Elocutions are conducted to boost students speaking skills. Quiz and Spell Bee competitions are also conducted annually.

There are each 6 boys and girls in our college. I reside in one of the boys Hostel currently. The infrastructure is well maintained and advanced. The sanitation and mess is highly prioritized. Mess food is good and healthy. Accommodation is comfortable and modest.

There are many campaigns held by the college in which college Alumni speak and motivate the existing students. Senior students are quite bold as well as helpful towards the Juniors. I have personally gained practical knowledge from the Seniors especially during my Hostel exposure.

Initially, I filled out the online application form provided on the University's website for my B.Com course. After the forms were reviewed, I was shortlisted in the University's merit list. After 3-4 days, I was summoned and given admission to the University.

The faculty of our college is highly experienced and knowledgeable. The quality of their teaching is precise and are always eager to help students on doubts. They very punctual and tell us to be so. Our HOD is well qualified and manages students as well as other faculty efficiently.
