Remarks
Being a government college the only thing which looks positive to me is that its academic fees are very less as compared to other private colleges and the negative side is that the faculties are qualified but they don't have the appropriate knowledge regarding their subject.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is perfect, no doubt in that. And the level of exams which are taken during the End Semester is also good. If we compare the paper of any private college affiliated with RGPV then we can see a huge difference in the level of the paper.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities vary every year. In 2017 one or maybe two companies came to recruit students but this year in 2019 around 6-7 companies came to recruit students. Job opportunities are very high for computer science students. Students of other branches like EC, EX, MECHANICAL don't have many opportunities.
College Events
Events Like TEDx have been organized by the students of our college two times. Then an event Shanknadh has been celebrated for the last 2 years on a traditional day. In this students from different colleges come to participate in different fields like dancing, singing, etc. Then a technical event Convolution is celebrated in the month of February for technical geeks.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is simple and affordable for almost everyone. The bus fee is 7200? and those who live within 5km don't have to pay a bus fee. The academic fee is 24000 approx per academic year and is the same for each and every student. So the total fee comes out to be 31000 approx, and you can pay this amount in a single payment or in two installments as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The government provides various scholarships to students who belong to SC, ST, and OBC categories. Central Government gives scholarships to those whose parents are central government employees. And also students who have scored well in academics are also given scholarships.
Campus Life
They are no particular periods for sports and other extracurricular activities but we have to attend the labs in college time. For every branch, there are labs according to their field with proper equipment but the proper guide is not there who can help the students, as I have told the faculties don't have the proper knowledge of their subjects.
Hostel Facilities
I have not opted for hostel facilities so I am not aware of it. But as far as the infrastructure of the hostel is average, not good I must say. But the quality of the food which they serve is good. But generally, students prefer to take hostels outside the college.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful if you are good to them. And there are some groups which are always ready to take flight with any innocent helpless person. But most of the seniors are very helpful and they give you the right direction which you should follow.
Admission
I gave the joint entrance exam JEE where I got 130/360 and in CBSE board exams I secured 89.2%. After the combined result of the above two, my AIR was around 66000(don't remember the exact figure). Then the counseling period came and we have to fill the colleges and the course which they offer according to your preference and if you have the appropriate rank according to college courses then you will get admission in that college easily.
Faculty
The faculties of our college have just done post-graduation but only a few faculties are there who have proper knowledge of their subject. Few faculties just come to class and they dictate the sentences which are written in the technical book and then they leave. They don't even try to explain.
