Remarks

College is one of the best medical colleges in India. It was ranked 10th best amongst best emerging private institutes in the country by india today group. It is one of the most regarded college not only in India but abroad as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is as per MCI guidelines. We have professional examination system which are help at varying time duration according to your prof. Lets say one year from day of admission for first prof examination, 2nd prof lasts for 1.5 years and Final prof is split into two parts and exams are held at interval of 1 year and then there is compulsory rotatory internship upon completion of which MBBS degree is awarded.

Placement Experience

5

Yes, we have to undergo one year compulsory internship to be awarded with degree of MBBS at our college itself during which stipend of ?9000/- Approx is paid to each intern. Upon internship there are a lot of govt. and private sector oppurtunities available as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As compared to other medicine institutes all over the country, I feel SGRDIMSR is one of the best and most feasible option to pursue MBBS or specialisation (MS/MD). Fee structure as compared to other private institutes is quite feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship facilities are available for SC/ST and other backward class students to support their education. Maximum number of scholarships are Govt. aided. Numerous scholarshipsbare available to students belonging to minority status. These are again aided by govt under minority scholarship schemes.

Campus Life

5

We have a decent playground and sports meet is held annually and sports events are also held from time to time in various fests etc other college infrastructure is up to date and all the latest facilities are available in the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, this can be assured from the fact that the college campus is totally ragging free and the atmosphere here is really welcoming for the freshers. Seniors are really good and helpful, probably they play a role as important as faculty in shaping the lives of medicos.

Admission

I appeared for PMET in 2016 and was selected for a subsidized semi govt seat through centralised counselling held by BFUHS Faridkot. My rank was 546 which was good enough to be able to give me 3 college options to choose from amongst PIMS JALANDHAR.

Faculty

5

Faculty available here is one of the best in country. Most of the professors are renowed names in their respective expertise. Faculty is as much hard working as the students. This is the reason for the consistent upward graph of results of the institute.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum “is well-planned … as per NMC (National Medical Commission) guidelines.” Practical classes are included daily alongside theory. “practicals are also included each day along with theory classes.” The AETCOM (Attitude, Ethics, Communication) component is explicitly mentioned, which is good because it shows attention to non-technical competencies. there are 4 levels of exams in a year — mid-terms, “send-ups,” etc. Some students feel the curriculum is stressful.
