Remarks

The course has a good combination of classroom and field learning that help much for understanding the real fact.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course has a good combination of general MBA subject and development subject. Three internship structure is cherry on the cake. This combined learning from classroom and field will make students ready for industry. Exams more focused on assessing practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

4.5

KSRM has a record of 100 % placement. This year we are on the path to keep that record. ITC, MSRLM, BRPL, NDDB dairy services, Bandhan bank are some organizations that recruit professionals from campus placement this year.

College Events

4

The college organized the SANGATI event in which students from another university/College compete in a different competition. Then in RURAL MANAGEMENT CONCLAVE and AGRIBUSINESS CONCLAVE we invite different personalities of the respective sectors to discuss certain topics.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fee for the MBA (Rural Management) 2020-22 program is Rs.6.97 lakhs payable in four installments. The fee includes Hostel, Mess, Books & Materials and including Laptop to all students. You don't need any other expenses other than your fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I don't opt for a scholarship or education loan. But if anyone needs a loan he/she will get it easily.

Campus Life

4.5

The college has a very pleasant campus atmosphere. Students here are coming from different parts of the world. Labs are equipped with Highly advanced technology. You can find equal numbers of male and female students on campus. Students can participate in a different competition organized by other schools on the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

KSRM has a 600+ alumni network most of them are in frequent touch with the College and helping students in different areas.

Admission

I gave CMAT entrance exam and I scored 125 marks. Then I selected for group discussion and personal interview after passing the group discussion and personal interview and paying the provisional fee I got an admission letter from the college. I applied for admission in April.

Faculty

5

Faculties are well qualified with significant experience in teaching as well as industry. Teachers are very friendly and available all the time for the students. We can discuss any topic with the faculties. Faculties are also helping students during the placements.

Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.
