Remarks

I like the college for its diverse teaching patterns among the faculty. But I dislike the college for not having a playground, and a canteen. This is an upcoming college so I hope my future juniors would have much more benefits than me.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is based on MGR university and MCI guidelines. I would like the curriculum to be more clinically oriented. The exams are conducted once per year with internal examination every other month on each subject.

Placement Experience

4

Yes. We have an internship program for an year. We are interned in the same hospital with two months of training in outside hospitals too in Ivan and rural setting. The stipend provided is generous and helps in meeting the demands of a life in the city.

College Events

1.5

We have many different events in our college. We celebrate each festival with small programs and we have annual inter-college programs comprising of sports and other academic events. We have a major program every year which celebrates the unity of India by playing programs in different languages.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible. It's one lakh per year with a few miscellaneous fee. Overall it comes within one lakh and ten thousand. It's really economical and we aren't burdened with loans due to the lower fees rate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides scholarship for the underprivileged students of lower castes whose annual income of their parents is less 2.5lakh. I am not sure whether it is a full scholarship or not. I am not aware of any other scholarship and I haven't availed any other

Campus Life

3.5

We don't have much of extracurricular activities. The sports are played by the students after college hours in the hostel premises according to the students wish and we have grounds with courts in the nearby locality for the different sports. But we don't have a play ground of our own in the college.

Alumni/Alumna

We haven't yet formed any such network since the college had started only on 2013 and only one batch of students have passed out. But we do keep contacts with out seniors and they are very helpful regarding the college and internship matters.

Admission

When I joined the college in 2014, I was able to get via merit. I entered via Tamil Nadu govt counselling. We had three counselling and I got this college on my third counselling. At first I got a Pvt institute. But from 2017 it has been changed to entrance exam.

Faculty

4

The faculty in the college is diverse and many. All their teaching styles vary from best to worst. We have different faculties taking every other class. So we are not put up with a single person and we are able to have diverse information being provided

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.
