Remarks

The college lacks good infrastructure as of now. Some faculties are careless. But the deans are very hard-working, they are working day and night to uplift the NIRF ranking of this college. Being an institute of National Importance, i am proud to be part of it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The institute provides BTech, Mtech, Integrated MSc and PhD degrees currently. The course is divided into a number of semesters. Mid-semester and end- semester exams are conducted in each of the semesters.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement statistics of NITP is very good. Last year, it had 94% of its students registering for placements getting placed. As of now, college doesn't provide internships due to its small campus area. But after shifting to its new campus, it may provide internships.

College Events

4.5

A lot of events are celebrated in NIT Patna. The spring fest, the annual tech fest, the sports fest are some of them. Corona and Melange is the annual tech fest organised is 2nd biggest tech fest in Bihar.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The institute has a variable fee structure for students on the basis of annual Family income. If a students' family income is less than 5 lakhs, the institute is very feasible. If a student doesn't lie in this category, a fee of approx 1.8 lakhs per year is to be paid by him/her.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no special scholarships or loan facilities offered by the college as of now. Reason being the fee waived already for poor students. But for middle class( family income > 5lakhs annually) and intelligent students, there is currently nothing.

Campus Life

2.5

The institute is well equipped with a number of labs, sport equipmens. Different clubs are there to nurture the hobbies of students. All the facilities are quite good. A student will develop good skills by joining these clubs.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are 4 hostels for 1st year students. Three for boys and one for girls. A big 11 storey hostel is for 2nd and further years for UG and IMSc students. Mtech and PhD students are accommodated in a separate hostel. The hostel lacks a good infrastructure in 1st year students. But it's up to the standards of an NIT for students other than 1st year.

Alumni/Alumna

The institute has the history of giving great students. Nitish Kumar, the current chief minister of Bihar is also an alumunus of this college. The seniors are cooperative and support mutual respect for each other.

Admission

I got admission through JEE main. Getting into such an Institute is not an easy task. Approx 14 lakh students appear for This Exam. After getting a rank, the students are allowed to undergo a councelling process Under JOSAA(Joint Seat Allocation Authority) for obtaining a seat in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

Faculty

4

NIT Patna has a pool of highly qualified faculties expert in their fields of teaching. Most of them polite and ready to clear the doubts. Being an NIT, most of faculties are PhD from IITs or Foreign Universities. But exceptions exist in all cases described above;)

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I mentioned regarding the Botany subject, I chose Botany because I thought it would be useful after college. I come from a farming family, and the subjects taught in college are generally designed to be very relevant to practical life. However, I learned that colleges tend to focus more on theoretical knowledge and less on practical application. They should give equal importance to practical learning as well.

Remarks:

In our college, studying about positive things is very good, sports are live, this is all a very good thing. In our college, boy and girl are given equal status. It is very good thing and there is a gullible tea about negatives. There is a little dress problem in our college, there is no dress in our college. In my college, I wish Trace was that all the children are same or not. It is a college child that should be recognized. If the child is seen on the net in our college, then his problem is there.
