Honest review for patna science and patna university.

Lab experiments influenced me to choose chemistry as course. This curriculum is not much related to real world but is much useful in further academic pursuits. Lab infrastructure is very poor and the some staffs are rude, teaching method are not best but not much bad also. Exams are very irregular and difficulty is moderate.

There are not much scope for campus placememts but few can be eligible for it in their last semester. My plans is to do post graduation and that too from other college or go for the government Exams.

The yearly fees for examinations for science and general category students are too much regarding its government college. Almost 3000 Rupees are taken in this. Other categories fees have much relaxtion compared to general. No scholarahip facilities is provided by university or college but relaxtion nd benefits are for reserved candidates.

No annual festivals are organised. College library is average but central university library is top notch. Facilities in classroom are poor, no mics and speakers are provided. Sports activites are organised regularly. Other extracurricular activites offered but are average.

I didn't get much time to apply for other colleges and going out of city should have been much difficult. And comapred to other colleges in my city, this university is much known and good faculties are present. Admission can be both through entrance and merit based. My admission was on merit based in year 2024.Admission experience my tiring, had to wait for hours to get document verified.

Faculties are good in number in chemistry department but it have shortage in zoology and other departments. Many faculties like botany professor Indrani mam and rashmi mam, zoology professor ranjana mam, chemistry professor ghanshyam sir, omprakash sir and many more are excellent in their work. Many are not good also, they just do their duty of taking attendance and just giving lectures only. Per semester there is 2 exams, one internal of 30 marks and one of 70 marks.

No, not any type of interview is taken. Just have to verify your documenta from staffs and then 3 photos of passport size will be used. Original Migration or transfer certificate will taken at the time of admission.

Cafeteria is good but overly crowded and overpriced. Campus timing is good and few hostels have good facilities but some have much poor. Best hangout place is krishna Ghat just behind the campus, peaceful. Nit , gandhi maidan, khetan market and much more to hangout but roaming at night is not safe for girls but for boys is much safe. But patna university is famous for its politics and fights and can be much hectic.
