SRM College Review

The good remark is that the college not only focus on the study also on extra activities and placements, the campus is big, besutiful and clean and the negative remark is the faculty which is average and, Mess food may seem to be a major setback for me, culture is bad and also it is very expensive.

Course curriculam was okay not too good and not too bad it is an average. We only studied basics not too detailed about any course which is required for further studies. Also, there are not proper study material though we have good huge library but we never got to know which one is the correct book to study.

Placement usually a big question for every College. Its not easy to get a job no matter how good or big College it is except IIT. College try his best to bring the companies and make 100% placement and they offered a good salary for freshers minimun 2.5 and maximum 10 lac. Yes for internship my College choose 2 best students with high CGPA for internship from every branch in 3rd year and send to companies or other countries for intership and also for student exchange program.

There are so many cultural events take place department wise and College. So there are 2 main events one is cultural fest and another is tech fest and both are good in their own ways but again some good events they have tickets it is not free which is annoying. People come from middle class or poor background they will hardly able to attend those events.

The cost is exorbitant the tution fees the hostel fee among other are extremely high and definately not worth of your money. SRM is a money hounding institute. So keep expecting unexpected price tags here.

At the time of counselling there are so many banks will be available to provide you bank loan and also scholarship will provided based on your rank merit list and availability and there are other scholarship which you will get every year based on your performance.

The labs are really well equipped that is you can explore a lot depending on how passionate you are and the sports facility is pathetic as. As good as the academics facilities are the sports facilities are not all developed here. The grounds have no grass there are just 2 badminton courts to such a large crowd.

Hostel facilty is huge and good. Every hostel and every floor has adequate RO drinking water outlets are available and every hostel had canteen. There are elevator facility in every building but they stops only on odd numbers floor.

Yes there is several groups on facebook create by alumni and senior student where they poat about upcoming placement what are the key points or you can post what kind of help you with regards to any activities,placement or studies

I have selected for this College based on their entrance exam my name came into merit list and then for counselling i have received an email with all details such as admission date, counselling date, counselling fees, course offered etc.

Faculty is like depend on courses like for biotechnology courses they have good faculty and for genetics courses they dont have proper faculty and some faculty have a zero knowledge about what they are teaching and 90% of the faculty will teach through PPT which is not enough for explanantion PPT are just a copy and paste from different websites. Basically sometimes we dont understand a thing of whatever they teach us at the end of their lectures.
