My grad review for Amity University, Noida

Attendance is a major issue. One needs to have 75% in every subject to sit for the external exams. Or getting debarred is a normal thing. Due to so many subjects and classes and the issue of attendance, students are exhausted and do not have time for extra curricular.

The students in Amity, study extra subjects to enhance their learning. The material used for our session plans is added extra from usual. The students also write around 12 research papers all through the three year tenure, it develops writing skills in them. The exam structure is pretty clear. We go through seminars, presentations, internal exams and then finally externals per semester.

Yes, they do provide. I'm in my last year so I don't have any experience of placement yet. But being that my seniors who wanted to work before they go for any further studies, are placed in worthy companies. They even provide students with internship.

Their are various events that follow and happen around in the university. Through out and outside the department, We get to explore ourselves. From literary events to academic events like AMIMUN, to cultural events like Ayf.

Its feasible enough for my course. But yet it can be called expensive in comparison to most colleges. But being it's a private university the fees had to be in approx to this amount which is approx 3lk for 3 years.

During admission process the students are given scholarships depending on the Mark's they obtained during their 12th class, and in few departments being a top scoring student can help one get a scholarship.

Every year for 3 months the biggest event of Amity University happens Inviting students from all other branches of amity to take part in Sangathan. It's the biggest sports event that happens. Their are dance societies, literature societies, music societies.

The seniors are very helpful and humble. They are always there when we need them to guide us and encourage us during any tough time. As it's a raging free environment, the bonding between the seniors and juniors turns into a healthy friendship.

I had to submit the admission form and once processed through, I got selected through a entrance exam followed by a brief interview about some basics in the course I opted for. The questions were to see my interest in the subject so that a better councilling could be done.

The faculty is very helpful and keen about learning. They have good academic backgrounds. All are well trained in not just teaching, but also encouraging students to be involved in extra curricular activities. We share a personal bond with every teacher and can go to them if we need to talk to someone. They know how to handle worse to worse conditions.
