Remarks

I did my masters in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from the COA, Pune. The college is affiliated to the MPKV, Pune and has a world-class infrastructure for the agricultural and Dairy Sciences. My overall experience with the college was good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The UG program in Agriculture covers many disciplines ranging from Agronomy, VeterinaryScience, Forestry, and Fisheries, etc. During my four year course, I learned all of these disciplines in detail.

College Events

4

We had many numerous field visits for various reasons. Sometimes it was farmers training program, sometimes it was a nursery sowing. We also had yoga classes. I also batchmates also volunteered for the NSS scoutings and many research workshops where guest faculties across the country would explain research projects they are working upon which was a nice learning opportunity.

Fee Structure And Facilities

One year fee for my UG program was 23,000 INR which is pretty much affordable. Especially for the students from the economically weaker background.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships worth lacs are distributed across the departments to the deserving students. MahaDBT is awarded specifically to the outstanding female performers on women’s day.

Campus Life

4

For someone who genuinely wants to create a solid base in the agriculture sector, it is an ideal place to start learning. Apart from that, campus life was pretty ordinary. More emphasis is paid towards learning.

Admission

Admission is on the basis of rank obtained in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH CET) or All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA). A merit list is prepared on the basis of entrance exam scores and students are invited on the basis of that.

Faculty

4

All the faculty members were qualified and maintained a standard in terms of quality of teaching. Most of our faculty members hold a PhD degree. They would also guide us in our career prospects.
