Remarks

The college has amazing infrastructure, AC classrooms, there are 3 canteens. 60 students in a class and there are 2 divisions. Teachers there provide you recommendations for further studies too. Overall the college adds to your future.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

There are 2 exams in a year and in the last year we have an option to select advertising or journalism.the course is of 3 years. All the subjects are very useful and informative. Some are theory while some are practical subjects.

Placement Experience

4

College does provide internship.there are internship fairs held by students as well. They have placement cell who help u prepare for the interviews and other aspects for a job. Stipend is around 5k to 7k.

College Events

5

College has its own festival which is celebrated intercollege. There are other 9 to 10 committees who organise different events from time to time. These events include lectures from famous people or creative workshops.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible for all. Payments happens at the start of the year. Lab fee, tution fee, id card and many such fee are charged, everything is to be given through DD. It is a smooth process without any problem.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I do not have any idea about the load facilities or scholarships offered by our college, there are other courses though like sports and film making which really helps a person explore one self. Contact the college for the same.

Campus Life

5

The college participates in all the intercollege festivals. Dance, sports, be it any games, we do have participation. There is a computer lab where few of our lectures are held. Other crash courses of social media marketing or digital marketing are also kept by our college.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are numerous hotels around the college where students can stay, girls and boys have different hostels. They provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms are clean and neat. There are 24 by 7 helpers in case u need something.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors have a different way to bond in this college, you will know that once you join they have unique games which make you bon with them as well as with your other classmates. On the very first day the. COme to your college to bond.

Admission

I got admission on merit basis. The admission process is very easy, throughout the process there are NSS volunteers helping. You just have to fill online application and along with all documents submit in college.

Faculty

5

They are friendly, helpful, creative, funny and very useful. The sessions are one and half long but it doesn't feel like one. All the sessions are interactive. The teachers are well aware of the topics they teach.

Course Curriculum Overview:

A Mass Media curriculum typically includes core courses like Media Writing, Communication Theory, and Media Production, providing foundational knowledge in the field. Electives such as Broadcast Journalism and Digital Media allow students to specialize. Practical experience through internships and capstone projects gives hands-on skills. The program prepares students for careers in media, journalism, or public relations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to opt for the BMM course because many writers, directors, actors and ad experts and artists have studied in Khalsa College. The curriculum prepares you for real world applications by not only teaching within the portion but also outside the portion. Various recreational activities take place at the college. Areas for improvement would be to decrease the over importance of giving attention to the attendance and project submission. It's college not school the teachers soften a little and try to give students the freedom of exploring other things too. The frequency and timings if the exams are usually the same as ither colleges. There are 6 semesters carried out in three years which are 2 or 3 hours long.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I had to enter the media industry. The faculty of the college is decent the teachers are well experienced but the department doesn't work well very unorganized. There are end seems and internal tests held before end sems other than that there are SLEs and assignments for which you get marked.

Placement Experience:

Placements for BMM students are practically non-existent. And even for students from other departments, the job profiles that usually come in are for BPOs and in-store sales support. Most packages range from 2LPA to 3.5LPA. This year, there were notable entries like TCS and Ikea but the job profiles were still menial. Although, alumni support is huge and helps most students in job finding.

The College Management Needs to be improved a lot as because of the management and staff students have faced lot of issue We even haven't got any proper IV or farewell and also in terms of management and staff they should understand the mind of students for some ideas and welcome our students perspectives rather than demotivating. But yes overall its a good college and i am sure in some matters they will improve, not all colleges are proper.
