College time

I had the best experience for my 4 yrs of life staying at the IITB campus. The professor was highly qualified and was good at teaching. Apart from academics, there were a lot of opportunities for everyone to take part in them and learn them and excel in them. The

Got selected through IIT JEE. Got 142 rank in category. I took chemical engineering as a field on suggestions from other family members. I chose this college simply because it is the best in all india.

In 1st yr we had one chemical engineering subject only rest were advanced mathematics, chemistry advanced c++. 2 nd yr onwards we had full chemical engineering courses like transport phenomena, fluid mechanics etc.in third yr we had reaction engineering mass transfer. In 4th yr we had process plant utilities, chemical process, etc.

I had done my internship at aditya birla grashim industries ltd. We were given around 8k stipend. It was my 1st industrial experience. It was very informative and useful.

All the students in my branch were placed. In our college, almost all the big companies came like Facebook(27lac), Google(25lac) Microsoft(20lac), Bain, JP morgan, deloit, Reliance(6lac).

Mood indigo biggest cultural fest amongst the colleges of all India. Techfest is the biggest technical function in all India where students from all over India come to take part in various events. Azeotropy chemical engineering fest.

It was feasible and quite affordable. Around 40k was the per semester academic fees. Mess and hostel fees were around 10k per semester. Apart from this, there were no expenses.

I haven't availed any scholarships but there was a scholarship for category students whose fathers income was less than 1 lac.

We had an extremely awesome environment for extracurricular activities. Almost every week there was an event going on. Not just at the institute level but at the hostel level also. We had intra hostel sports meet also.

Hostel facilities in terms of rooms were not very nice rooms were very small and they used to put two students in one room. After putting two beds there was no place to even stand. Other than this we had almost all the facilities for playing reading inter

IIT Bombay alumni network is very vast and well maintained. Every they hold an alumni meeting at the institute level. The individual hostel also holds meetings with alumni.

The general structure of exams was like this, Two quizzes followed by midsem and then two more quizzes followed by endsem.

We had the best faculties. Some of our professors had their Ph.D. from MIT. There were some courses which were taken by some professors whose areas of interest were different and because of that they couldn't teach well.
