How is the library at PEC Chandigarh? Is it 24*7?
PEC Chandigarh library has an excellent collection. It has good reading spaces. There are both AC and non-AC reading halls. The library has a decent wi-fi connection and a peaceful environment.
It doesn’t stay open 24*7. The time for Monday to Friday is 9 am to 10 pm. For Saturday and Sunday, the time is 9 am to 5 pm. PEC library stays open late at night during and the week before examinations.

The library in PEC Chandigarh has a variety of books; however, the study environment is so poor, and it will get a score of 50-60% in all out of 100.
There are lots of chattering noises in the PEC library between the students, which is completely disturbing and all-time creating chaos in the silent environment of the library. Thus, the students, who seriously come to study, are distracted from the study.
Basically, it becomes a hangout place, especially for the love birds of the institute.
Another point to be discussed is that the library in PEC is not opened 24*7; although the student has complained against it to the Dean of Student Affairs, it is still in process with no result.
Besides, library timings are as follows:
- It is opened 9 AM to 8 PM on Monday
- On Saturday it is opened 9 AM to 5 PM
- And on Sunday, the library in PEC Chandigarh remains closed all day.
The important thing is that only before the exam weeks, this library remains open till 12 Midnight.
