What do CSE students at IIT Kanpur do during their second year summer vacations?

CS students at IIT Kanpur can be found doing a number of activities during their second-year summer vacations. Some activities they indulge themselves in are

• Mostly, CSE students spend their time preparing and building their resumes. For this, they involve themselves in research projects under the guidance of professors.
• Some students prefer doing an HSS course during their summer vacations so that their workload during the semester is reduced to a little extent.
• Soke students build their resumes by applying for internships either on or off campus.
• Some coding lovers are selected for GSOC and go for their Google internships 
• Some students who want a break from studies and want to pursue their hobbies in sports, culture or tech stuff do so. A number of clubs like robotics, electronics, aeromodelling, programming, etc.
• Some get involved in miscellaneous stuff such as going to the gym, swimming, online coding competitions, hackathons, and preparation for CAT or IAS.
• Some of them waste their time gaming or watching movies.

So basically, the activities of students depend on the individual itself and there are no fixed activities.
