BIT Mesea cannot be compared to the biggest engineering brand IIT. However, when compared to the newest IITs, it can be said that BIT Misra has better placements at least in CSE. Let’s compare BITS Misra with some famous engineering institutes to understand where it actually stands

BIT Misra is way below the top NITs and even average NITs like Calicut, Jaipur, Rourkela, and Nagpur. Then again, in terms of CSE placements, it’s at par with these institutes.
BIT Misra is at the same level as mid-level NITs like Durgapur, Jamshedpur, IIEST Shibpur, etc.
BIT Misra fares better than lower-level NITs like Patna, Hamirpur, Jalandhar etc.

So it can be said that BIT Misra is not better than IITs except for the new ones.

Saying “BIT Mesra is better than IITs” can be a big remark. But considering the fact that the institute was established in the year 1955, one can say that BIT Mesra is one of the old reputed institutes in India. BIT Mesra can be compared to the new IITs in terms of infrastructure, campus, placements, alumni, etc. Comparing BIT Mesra with newer IITs you can find that the BIT Mesra is much better.
