I've been part of the Executive Post Graduate Programme [EPGP] at IIM Kozhikode, and honestly, my experience has been mixed. While there are some excellent faculty members, I feel that the curriculum can get a bit theoretical, and the exam pressures are intense due to the quarterly exams.
The fees are also rising, currently at 14 lakhs, which is quite steep. Unlike other top schools, there's less campus life for EPGP students, which can make it limiting. So, while IIM Kozhikode has its strengths, it's essential to consider these factors when comparing it to other schools.
I feel IIM Kozhikode is positioned between the top IIMs like Ahmedabad and the newer ones. It's performing well but isn't quite on the same level as IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, and IIML. IIM Indore and Kozhikode are often seen in a similar light. While an MBA from Kozhikode can lead to a solid career, it doesn't quite carry the same weight as one from A, B, or C. Ultimately, it comes down to your dedication and effort, not just the name of the institute.
I feel IIM Kozhikode is kind of in the middle when you look at IIM Ahmedabad and the newer IIMs. It's performing really well but still isn't quite at the level of IIM A, B, C, or L. IIM I and K are pretty similar in this regard. Getting an MBA from IIM Kozhikode can definitely lead to a good career, but it might not carry the same weight as having one from A, B, or C. Ultimately, your dedication and hard work are what really count, not just the name of the institute.
My time at IIM Kozhikode for the Post Graduate Programme in Management [PGPM] (Liberal Studies) has been quite interesting. The campus is beautiful, often referred to as God's own campus, and that makes the experience enjoyable. The curriculum is diverse, incorporating subjects from psychology to strategic management, which is refreshing.
However, the fees are high compared to some other IIMs, but still within the range of the older ones. Overall, I think IIM Kozhikode offers a unique blend of academics and campus life, making it a good option among top business schools in India.
IIM Kozhikode has been a solid experience for me in the Post Graduate Programme in Management (Finance). The faculty is quite professional, and they know their subjects well. The industry exposure is great with companies like JPMorgan and BCG coming to campus for placements. However, the fee is on the higher side, approximately 20.5 lakhs, and there's a lot of pressure to perform, especially given that the placement record is 100%. So, while it's an esteemed institution with good placement opportunities, the financial aspect can be a bit daunting.
