How is the faculty at Delhi University?

The faculty of college are well experienced and conduct classes time to time. Generally they follow on the nep bases semester system 25% are based on internal and remaining 75% on end sem exams and the exams are conducted offline. teachers conduct assignemnets as a part of internal process and they provide the number as a part of academic process

As a student of BA English Honours at Delhi University School of Open Learning (DU SOL), my academic experience is primarily based on self-study and the study materials provided. Since it is a distance-learning programme, I have limited direct interaction with faculty members, making it difficult to comment on individual teachers or the faculty-to-student ratio. The course structure provides flexibility, but more regular academic guidance, doubt solving sessions, and interactions with teachers would improve the learning experience. Clear examination guidelines, transparent marking schemes, and timely results are important for students. Providing more accessible faculty support and academic resources would make the overall learning process more effective.

Faculty ratio was 1 to 70. The relationship with the faculty is not that good. Numerous faculty members are only limited to the class lectures and assignments. They were not supportive towards the other factors like Internship opportunities or career guidance. There are 3 major subjects and 1-2 elective and 1-2 value based subjects depending upon the course and semester. Average of 6 subjects for appearing in the exam every semester. Exams are easy to moderate. Some students fail to clear the semester exams due to poor revision or using unfair means. The course curriculum is somewhere relevant to this age but some subjects need to be updated with the new time.

Choosing this institution has been one of the best decisions of my life. The faculty members are truly exceptional—they are not just teachers, but mentors who are deeply invested in student success, highly approachable during office hours, and regularly bring real-world research into the classroom.

The faculty at DU is great, Teachers have done phd in their respective domains, they are approchable, and corporative. Though there are some cultural barriers, but that's managable as well. The curriculum is not very relevant after NEP.
