Here are a few pieces of advice I would like to give to an IIT Dhanbad fresher

Never underestimate the CGPA and always strive to maintain a good CGPA of more than 8.
Don’t let your roommates intimidate you.
Maintain a good rapport with seniors. You can join a club, or play games with them.
Look for a good internship off-campus in your field of interest with the help of seniors.
Don’t forget to enjoy college life, one of the best parts of your life.

Have a good time at IIT Dhanbad!
