Usually, students ranking in the top 300, get CSE, or IT at MPSTME, NMIMS. But this is just a tentative score. There is no such specific cutoff system. NMIMS Cutoff varies each year depending on the availability of seats.
So, try to score a good rank, to be safe. Since most students choose CSE or IT, the required cutoff remains high.
It entirely depends on the vacancy. There is no such cutoff system. If you can secure a good rank, i.e. within the top 300, then you can go for the CSE branch. Otherwise, it entirely depends on the vacancy. If you get a rank of around 1500-3000, and you want IT or CE, chances of getting admission are low, as most students choose these courses. However, in the counseling, they give a form in which you can fill out your choice of branch and if there are any vacancies later, you can upgrade your branch.
Honestly speaking, IIT Gandhinagar does not deserve to be in the IIT family nor does it deserve the IIT tag. I am not saying the education and placement opportunities here are pathetic but they are still far from actual IIT standards. or even top NITs and BITS.
It’s due to the Marketing tactics of the director that the institute gains such high rankings by NIRF and other ranking bodies. The internships and placement scenario is pathetic owing to the deteriorating student strength and efforts on the part of the university.
I will suggest everyone against joining this institute and ruining their career.
Autonomus colleges under VTU are better. These colleges shave the autonomy to frame their syllabus, academic calender, curriculum, and evaluation methods. In comparison to VTU, you can score better. The overall learning experience is better.
RVCE, MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, and BMS College of Engineering are among the most reputed autonomous colleges under VTU.
Both IIT Madras and IIT Bombay for popular academic institutions in India, renowned for their academic and research excellence.
