VK

B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, Asansol Engineering College (2020)

Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology as well as Bharati Vidhyapeeth University College of Engineering Pune, are both excellent institutes to pursue Engineering courses. NIET is a public university whereas BVPCOEP is a private university in Pune. Both of them differ in significant parameters.

Course:

  • Electronics and telecommunication at BVPCOEP are one of the newest departments and since the university has better infrastructure, it provides all the labs and equipment necessary to complete necessary. It also has a systematically designed syllabus which was curated by one of the best professionals who teach at the university.
  • Computer Science Engineering at NIET is a very reputed course among recruiters. It provides multiple opportunities for students to learn the diversity in Computer application and also provide a strong base. The degree of CS from NIET holds value among companies established around Delhi NCR.

Faculty:

  • BVPCOEP has a practical research-based faculty. Since it is a private university, the faculty can decide upon the syllabus and method of teaching. They are mostly professionals with industrial as well as research experience who aim at guiding students through their careers as well.
  • NIET has a research-based faculty with most professors as established research journalists. Many of them have received grants from the government in the past few years to conduct further researches in which they aim to employ students as well.

Placements:

  • Even though NIET has relatively low placements, the computer science department attracts the maximum number of placements throughout the year by various IT companies. The department has a placement record of 70% of students being placed through on-campus recruitment. More often than not, the highest salary package is offered to CS students.
  • BVPCOEP provides easy placements to students through their industry contacts. The overall placement for the year 2019 was 86.53%. In these terms, the campus recruiters and salary packages are better at Bharathi Vidhyapeeth University College of Engineering Pune.

The table given below gives a brief overview of both the institutes:

NIET

Computer Science Engineering

1.4 L (first year)

M.Tech Process Control & National Institute of Technology, Warangal (2020)

Both Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) and Raj Kumar Goel Institute of Technology (RKGIT) are private engineering colleges located in the Delhi NCR region. I have a few friends at both the institutes and based on the conversation, I had with them, I will say NIET will be better.

The faculty and campus placements at RKGIT are not that great. Compared to RKGIT, NIET has better a better faculty base and placement record.

Here are the recent placement highlights for the two institutes.

Institute NIET RKGIT
Average CTC 3.8 LPA 5 LPA
Highest CTC 11 LPA 12.20 LPA
Top recruiters HCL, Capgemini, Wipro Jaro Education, TCS

Is NIET Greater Noida a good college?

A
ArcaneArcher Posted On : February 16th, 2026

If you're considering colleges in Greater Noida, GL Bajaj is a top choice. It excels in both academics and placements, providing great support for students to prepare for jobs and develop their personalities.

NIET is another solid option worth considering. While it's a good college, I'd recommend trying for GL Bajaj first. If you can't get in there, then NIET is definitely a good alternative.

Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology NIET How good is this college for CS IT? Should one take admission in it?

C
CalmCoyote Posted On : February 16th, 2026

Hey there! I'm in my fourth year of CSE at NIET, so I can share my thoughts. I'd say NIET is a decent college for CS and IT. Like most colleges, some teachers are really good, while others might not meet your expectations. But honestly, don't just focus on the academics when judging a college.

NIET is putting in a lot of effort to help students get placed by offering extra classes that teach skills beyond the usual curriculum. They've recently teamed up with Pyramid Finishing School, which is all about getting students ready for jobs. They hold sessions on things like resume writing, body language, grooming, and group discussions. You get to practice speaking in front of everyone, which is pretty cool. From what I've seen, not many other colleges in Greater Noida are offering such extra classes, especially on weekends.

In my opinion, NIET is a solid choice for CS and IT in Greater Noida. And just a side note, the student crowd here isn't too bad either!

Is Greater Noida Institute of Technology good?

E
EchoingEagle Posted On : February 16th, 2026

From my perspective, NIET isn't as impressive as they claim, especially when it comes to placements and overall college experience. Being a former student there, I can share some insights. When choosing a college, most people look at two things: the college's reputation and placement opportunities. Ratings can be different across various sites, but here's what I know about NIET.

TCS is the main company recruiting at NIET, and they accept resumes from all branches. Besides TCS, companies like UHG and Capgemini visit for CS/IT roles. There are also some companies hiring based on specific branches, but most are focused on sales, marketing, and business analyst positions. Unfortunately, there's no placement support for the Civil branch. The faculty, except for the experienced first-year teachers, aren't as skilled as one might hope.

NIET often boasts about its placements, but a closer look reveals that many jobs are in sales. Although the Indian Army and Navy visit annually, I haven't heard of anyone getting a job with them. The college considers students who pass the first round of interviews as placed, which boosts their placement statistics.

If you have a 70% average and are confident in your ability to secure a job in your field, you might consider NIET. However, with that score, you could also look at GL Bajaj or Galgotias College. The Wi-Fi isn't very useful, as you need a VPN just to access sites like YouTube. There's also a lack of festivals and exposure.

So, if you're interested in a sales career, NIET could work for you. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it unless it's your only option, and even then, proceed with caution or reconsider engineering altogether.

Is NIET Noida worth it to do a B Tech in CSE?

S
SolarSpectre Posted On : February 16th, 2026

After spending a decade studying the Indian engineering education scene, I can tell you clearly: NO, it's not advisable. NIET, along with other colleges like VIT, Manipal, and SRM, is considered a lower-tier institution. They often lack strong campus placement opportunities. If these colleges improve their facilities, they could climb up to a higher tier.

What is your review of Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology NIET?

L
LuminousLegend Posted On : February 16th, 2026

I studied at the Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology from 2009 to 2013, majoring in Electrical Engineering. I ended up getting a job at TCS through their campus placements and am now working at TCS Chennai.

NIET ranks among the top 20 colleges in UPTU. It's a decent place, and if you focus on your studies, it can be beneficial.

Here are some positives about the college:

  • The academic setting is disciplined and well-organized. They have labs for all practical activities, so while you might not be doing groundbreaking work, you'll definitely learn the basics of engineering.
  • Not all teachers are highly qualified, but there are a few professors who can be inspiring. Some of the faculty even have degrees from IITs.
  • The placement department is quite active. They guide students on how to prepare for interviews, which helped me a lot too.

On the downside:

  • The campus placements mainly attract software and IT companies, so if you're in mechanical or electrical, getting into a core company might be tough.
  • The environment feels like a typical private college, so don't expect much in terms of innovation. However, if you have innovative ideas, you might find some support.
  • Only about 25% of students who get placed end up with a good salary and job. Many just get positions that are more for the sake of having a job, including opportunities in BPOs.

In summary, if your entrance exam rank is average and you're trying to make the best of a less-than-ideal situation, NIET could be a good choice.

How is Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology?

O
ObsidianOutlaw Posted On : February 14th, 2026

I think NIET stands out among private engineering colleges for several reasons. It's the only engineering school in Greater Noida that has recognition from major government bodies like NIRF, NBA, and NAAC with an A grade. Plus, many successful IAS officers, like Sana Akhtar Siddiqui (AIR-90) and Himanshu Tripathi, have come from here.

NIET was also the first private college to get recognized for its focus on academics and placements. It introduced the Pyramid Finishing School for pre-placement training, which other colleges later copied. Unlike other colleges that charge 10k to 20k for placement training, NIET offers this training at no extra cost.

When it comes to the latest technologies, NIET often leads the way. It was the first to bring in things like the Microsoft Innovation Centre, robotics, Mercedes training, and offers free in-house training by top trainers. The college ensures students are well-prepared for industry needs.

NIET regularly hosts motivational and career guidance seminars and has a management team that's approachable for students to discuss any issues. It boasts a great faculty and offers frequent industrial visits for relevant streams. The entrepreneurship cell is another highlight, helping students start their own businesses, and many have succeeded.

Top companies often choose NIET for campus placements because its students are well-prepared and have a good track record. There's much more to share, but these points should help students and parents consider NIET. I recommend NIET for serious students who want a solid career after their studies. Best wishes!
