Is NIET Noida worth it to do a B Tech in CSE?

After spending a decade studying the Indian engineering education scene, I can tell you clearly: NO, it's not advisable. NIET, along with other colleges like VIT, Manipal, and SRM, is considered a lower-tier institution. They often lack strong campus placement opportunities. If these colleges improve their facilities, they could climb up to a higher tier.

NIET might not be the best option for a B Tech in CSE. The college focuses a lot on marks, and the university itself doesn’t have a great reputation.

Plus, lately, the placement opportunities there haven't been very promising.

I'm an NIET graduate. If you're serious about pursuing engineering and want a solid career, I'd recommend aiming for a good government college. Just having a degree isn't enough these days. I graduated and landed a job at a multinational company, but over time I understood that hard work is needed either way. Whether it's getting into a good college or putting in the effort once you're employed, it's important. So, it's better to choose a good college where you can grow and discover more about yourself in various ways.
