Can one study as well as enjoy at IIIT Hyderabad? Is there too much academics there?
It’s true that IIIT Hyderabad is an academic-focused institute and the campus life here is very monotonous. It usually has the most studious students whose ultimate goal is getting a high package. Moreover, unlike IITs, IIIT Hyderabad is a private college and receives findings from the student's fees only. It cannot afford to focus on anything but academics.
That being said, the quality of education here is a notch higher than most engineering colleges. IIIT Hyderabad has superior-quality students, projects, and research. It has successfully produced the best coders, software engineers, entrepreneurs, and engineers.
So as a student of IIIT Hyderabad, you cannot afford to slack or waste your time. College life depends on the kind of person you are. If you are able to maintain a balance between academics and extracurriculars, you won’t face many issues. There are a number of events that give students a break from studies like freshers, Two-to-tango, Felicity Buzz, November Jam, Flash mob, etc Additionally, there are regular club meets, 2 sports meets, inter batch tournaments, inter-house tournaments, etc.
So, to enjoy life at IIIT Hyderabad, you need to have a perfect balance between academics and extracurricular activities.
How much percentile is needed to get through the admission criteria of Jaipuria Institute of Management in Noida?
You will get into Jaipuria Institute of Management Lucknow even without giving any exam. Tier 4,5 institutions aren’t a good choice for pursuing your management studies.
The top 25 business schools have the right to claim that they provide the necessary management education and experience. You must aim to pursue your management studies from the top 25 business schools. By top 25, I mean the best 30-35 institutions

The SPJIMR PGDM Marketing program is similar to top B Schools like IIM ABC. The key highlights of the same program are listed below. Please note these are not generic and are specifically related to the Marketing program.
Curriculum: The curriculum is almost exactly what is taught at elite B Schools. The relevancy of the curriculum is maintained through unique programs like GFT wherein a 3-week immersion at some of the finest universities of the USA takes place. A very interesting program called ‘A day in the life of a Salesman’ is a much talked about program at SPJIMR. In this, you will get to shadow a salesman from a reputed FMCG company so that you understand the techniques of sales and distribution.

What are the college timings of MSU Baroda?
The college timings of MSU Baroda depend upon which faculty you are in as every department has its own timings.
B.Sc
- First Year: 3-6 PM for theory and 7-10 AM for the lab.
- Second year: Students get 2 lab sessions, one in the morning 7 am to 10 am, and the other in the afternoon 3-6 PM. The theory lectures are held between 10 am to 3 pm.
- Third Year: 2 lab sessions are held. One between 7-10 AM and the other between 3-6 PM.
Theory lectures are held between 11 to 2:30.
M.Sc – You need to be present from 8 am to 6 pm in the evening or complete lab experiments early and leave by 2 or 3 pm.
Which is better among IIIT Allahabad (IT branch) and IIIT Delhi (CSE branch) if fees isn't a consideration?
IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Delhi are both well known brands.
Before making a choice, you must consider these facts-
- IIIT Allahabad does not have a Home State Quota. At IIITD, 85 % seats are reserved for Delhi students, and only 15% are allotted for OS students.
- IIITD has better research labs and classrooms.
- IIITD campus covers just 25 acres, while IIITA is spread across 100 acres of land.
- The faculty at IIITD is better. Some of those teachers have graduated from foreign universities like Oxford, Cambridge, etc.
- Both the colleges have equally good placements. Last year, B.Tech students at IIITA recorded 100% placements with an average package of 30.63 LPA. This year, the average package for IIITD B.Tech students stood at 25.39 LPA, and 98.36% students were successfully placed from B.Tech CSE.
Both these colleges are really good for your CS/IT studies. You can use the above information to choose between the two.
Which is better Jadavpur University or NIT Durgapur or IIEST?
All three colleges namely JU, NIT Durgapur, and IIEST are the premier institutions of the country. Each one of them had their own strengths and weaknesses. Let’s go through each of them individually to understand better.
Jadavpur University:
- JU is not a technical institution, so it offers an environment where students of diverse academic streams study under a roof that helps them grow as a person.
IIEST Shibpur
- IIEST Shibpur, main advantage is its closeness to the metro city. Moreover, it is an Institute of National Importance so has a high brand value.
NIT Durgapur
- This is the best place for a vibrant college life and you will learn and experience something new every day. The academic rigor is motivating and the competition is intense. The campus is small but has everything one needs. The infrastructure is being improved slowly and new changes are being made. The NIT tag also comes to your rescue whenever you face hardship in your career.
Overall, I feel JU has a certain edge over the other two colleges in terms of crowd diversity. However, if you want the NIT tag then NIT Durgapur is also a good option.
Which is better RGIPT or IIT-BHU or IIPE?
RGIPT, IIT BHU, and IIPE, all three are reputed national-level colleges. Choosing among these three, depends on the course you are interested in. Selecting the right branch is more important than brand recognition of the college. So, don’t choose IIT BHU, only because of the IIT tag. It’s true that the IIT tag offers certain advantages. But for job opportunities, your branch will matter more.
- If you are getting Ceramics or Pharmaceutical at IIT BHU and Petroleum Engineering at RGIPT, then go for RGIPT. The Petroleum and Chemical branch of RGIPT offers more placement opportunities and exposure.
- If you are interested in other core branches then IIT BHU is a better option.
- Now, between RGIPT and IIPE, the former is the better choice for Petroleum Engineering. The course curriculum for the branch is similar but you will get better alumni support at RGIPT.
- For Chemical Engineering, IIPE has a better course structure. Also, IIPE has a huge locational advantage. HPCL’s refinery is located in Visakhapatnam. The institute is only a few hours away from Kakinada, which has a huge potential of producing Methane Hydrates.
What are the best coaching centres for GATE and IES in Civil Engineering?
There are many coaching centers throughout the country for IES and GATE coaching. However, these 2 institutes enjoy a huge reputation and recognition at the national level due to their experienced faculty and their study material quality.
Made Easy:
- It is one of the best in the field when it comes to GATE and IES coaching. They have the best faculty teaching the subjects for the students.
- Their specialty lies in their high quality and concise presentation.
- One of my friends enrolled in the Delhi center weekend coaching program, which he claimed to be good.
- Their online test series is one of the best you can opt for. They are prepared keeping the present pattern in mind. The number of students enrolled is hefty and gives you a clear picture of the competition.
- Some criticize that their teaching lacks depth compared to other institutes. Their courses and tests require analytical knowledge and are more than enough to crack GATE/IES exams.
IES Masters:
- This institute is one of the best in this field and has earned respect for its excellence and quality coaching within a short span of its inception.
- All the major subjects for all batches are handled by Mr. Kanchan Thakur who is the director of the institute. He has a brilliant command over all the subjects in Civil engineering.
- The study material of this institute is best and is even recommended for those who choose civil engineering as an optional subject in UPSC exams.
- One small setback is that other faculties than the director are not on par when compared with the faculties of Made Easy.
For the GATE Online test series, you can opt for Made easy test series, and for the IES test series you can opt for IES Masters. If you plan to join made easy to enroll in Super Talent Batch which has all top faculties teaching in this batch.
For Classroom coaching for civil engineering in GATE/IES, Super talent batch can be preferred if not then IES Masters. For Postal study course, one can opt for IES masters.
