Which college is better, LD or MSU Baroda?
It depends on the course you are willing to pursue. As one of my friends is an alumni of MSU and also knows about LD, I can help you with the question.
According to him, if you are willing to study engineering then MSU would be a better choice than LD. The overall academics and curriculum is better at MSU, whereas LD has a somewhat better reputation among industries than MSU. Therefore, placements are better in LD.
But if you think you can secure a job offer by yourself go for MSU as they will provide you with the proper academic guidance.

Is ISB better than IIM Ahmedabad for someone wanting a career in product management in India?
If you're considering pursuing a career in product management, it's important to choose the right business school that offers the best program and opportunities for this field. - IIMs are better for finance roles: While ISB may be the better choice for product management if you're interested in pursuing finance roles across private equity (PE), venture capital (VC), investment banks, or hedge funds, then IIMs are still the way to go. These schools have a strong reputation for finance education, and many top companies in these fields recruit heavily from IIMs.
If you're set on pursuing a career in product management, and you have a choice between ISB and IIMs, then ISB may be the better option. However, if you're open to other fields such as finance, then IIMs still have a lot to offer.
Is electronics and computers a good option at Thapar University?
One of my friends had been in the very first batch of B.E Electronics and Computer branch. I might be able to share some facts about the college and the course which can be useful.
- The batch size consists of 68 students.
- The placement records were pretty good.
- This branch was considered for recruitment in the core companies of both ECE and CS.
- Students were placed by some of the top recruiting core CS companies that include D.E Shaw, Microsoft, Walmart, Samsung, Wipro as well core Electronics companies such as NXP, Mentor Graphics, etc.
- The average placement package for the first batch was 7 LPA while the highest was 16 LPA for this branch.
- The course curriculum of this branch includes the core subjects from both ECE and CS branches.
- The student gets a sneak peek at the common subjects required for the placement criteria for the core CS as well as ECE branches.
If the students are not a big fan of coding cultures that the CS branch usually offers nor good at ECE setups then they would not regret getting into this branch. In the end, the placement will only be availed by the students with their hard work and efforts.
How is the CSE (4 years) department at IIITM Gwalior?
The Computer Science and Engineering Department of Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management at Gwalior offers a Bachelor’s in Technology Program, which is a four-year-long course. NIRF 2020 has ranked IIITM Gwalior 100 for BTech.

Although the 4 years long BTech CSE program offered by IIITM Gwalior is quite new it has its perks. The batch strength is lower than the integrated course which helps in academics. The course also has a good placement rate.
Can students having supplementary exam in a semester write improvement exam in the same semester in Calicut University?
If you are talking about the same paper then you can’t take the supplementary examination as well as improvement examination in the same semester at Calicut University. Let’s say you fail in paper A in the first semester and scored a B grade in paper B. During the third semester, you can write any paper of the first semester, if you pay the required fees. For paper B you will need to take an improvement examination and for paper A you need to take a supplementary examination.
How are the facilities in hostels at NIT Rourkela?
NIT Rourkela has amazing accommodation facilities with a few disadvantages too.
Pros
- NIT Rourkela students are provided with a LAN port per room that operates from 5:30 pm to 8 am and the entire day on weekends.
- There are paid laundry services. Although I will recommend washing the expensive pieces of clothing yourself.
- Students are allotted double rooms for 3 years and single rooms in the final year.
- The campus has a night canteen that operates till 1 am. There is also a day canteen too that runs from 10 am to 7 pm.
- The hostels have enough sports facilities like volleyball or badminton.
- Students are also provided DC++ for downloading stuff.
- The hostels even have a garden and cycle stand to park your cycles.
Cons
- The food served in the mess is not really good, especially on weekdays.
- Rourkela experiences an extreme climate during summer so you will have to make arrangements for cooling.
- Students are prohibited from bringing two-wheelers on campus.
So NIT Rourkela hostel facilities have more pros than cons.
How is the coding culture in IIT Kharagpur?
Coding isn’t necessarily meant for CSE students only and has a broader angle to it. Coding simply means simplifying tasks by expressing them in form of a set of routines or commands and making the computer do work for us. So, if you are interested in coding then being in a core branch doesn’t restrict you from pursuing your passion.
Some spectrums of Coding that can be observed in IIT Kharagpur are as follows
- Competitive Coding: This type of coding is the basic foundation of coding and is usually meant for beginners. You are introduced to Hackerrank, CodeChef, and TopCoder.
- Open Source Programming: The open source culture within the campus of IIT Kharagpur is promoted by the KOSS or the Kharagpur Open Source Society. This group has made excellent accomplishments in the field of coding at IIT Kharagpur. The Kharagpur Winter of Code is organized to help students gain insight and a first-hand experience into how the Open Source community functions.
- Data Analytics and Machine Learning: This field is promoted by The Kharagpur Data Analytics Group (KDAG). Additionally, the Data Analytics event in both the Inter Hall Technology General Championships (General Championship (Technology) and Open IIT (Instiinfo) renders a plethora of opportunities for students to learn the basics of Data Analysis and Machine Learning from their seniors.
- Robotics: This field of coding is the most vibrant in IIT KGP owing to the relentless contributions of the Technology Robotix Society that not only gives freshers a casual introduction to the world of Robotics but also a firsthand experience of it.
- Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking, App Development and Web Development: These are the miscellaneous courses of Robotics that are hosted by the Web and Design teams of both SpringFest and KTJ to promote extensive learning and experience in this field. It is taught by seniors who are experts in this field and are free of cost.
