How many students are selected for IPM IIM Indore interview?

AD
Anjana Dasadhikari Posted On : August 26th, 2021
MS by Research from International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (2020)

Almost over 15000 apply for the IPM program at IIM Indore. For each seat, you will be competing with 10 students at least. In 2018, 15901 students had applied and only 886 students were shortlisted for the interview round.

To get selected, you will have to give an aptitude test along with a WAT and then appear for a personal interview round. All these tests will evaluate you as a person and not just your knowledge and skills.

If you are applying for this course, you should have a plan B in case you don't get selected as no other IIMs offer this college. Very few students get selected for the IPM IIM Indore course as the selection criteria for this course is very difficult and you have to be very good at academics to get selected in this course.

How good is Mangalore University?

PC
Partha Chowdhury Posted On : August 26th, 2022
B.Com from Mangalore University, Mangalore

Mangalore University offers good facilities and infrastructure for learning. It has one of the best libraries in Karnataka. It has a vast collection of books and magazines. Students are also given access to an e-library.

MU syllabus is outdated. The guest faculties aren’t good. Some of them lack basic knowledge of the subject. The permanent faculty base is better in comparison.

Although Mangalore University offers decent resources and facilities, in terms of academics it’s not a good option.

How is AIIMS Bathinda compared to the other GMCs of Punjab?

Muskan Shafi Posted On : April 3rd, 2024

AIIMS Bathinda and other GMCs in Punjab such as GGS Faridkot and GMC Patiala are both good medical colleges. The key difference between AIIMS Bathinda and GMCs is the teaching approach and culture.

  • Batch Size: In all the AIIMS, the intake capacity for UG and PG courses is very limited. Hence, attention will be given to all the individuals both in theory and practice. This aids professors in assessing the weaknesses and strengths of each student carefully and motivates them to become their better selves. Whereas, GMCs have a comparatively bigger batch size and it is difficult for students to get individual attention.
  • Academics: AIIMS Bathinda has excellent resources and encourages students to participate in research from 1st year of MBBS. It ensures students are provided with the best faculty and resources to actively participate in research activities.

AIIMS Bathinda also offers admission to PG courses twice a year, unlike GMCs. It is advantageous for students to appear for either the January Session or July Session without any pressure. AIIMS Bathinda has a good student-to-cadaver ratio compared to any GMCs.

  • Culture: AIIMS Bathinda have passionate and dedicated professors helping students at every step of their academic career. Be it in class or in laboratories. Faculty are so friendly and approachable and they ensure students have set career goals and help them in placements as well.

Students can make connections at AIIMS Bathinda with seniors, faculty and alumni. This ecosystem helps students in showcasing their achievements or in their career path as well.

In conclusion, GMCs are also good options for students. However, AIIMS is a brand that stands out from other medical colleges as they are institutes of National Importance and are funded by the government. Although academics at AIIMS Bathinda are highly competitive due to limited seats. Students will have wonderful opportunities and exposure once they are selected.

DTU

M.Tech Software Engg.

You will have to get at least rank 2000 for DTU and 3000 for NSUT Delhi.

Both DTU and NSUT Delhi offer plenty of opportunities for their students in this field.

Qualcomm, SanDisk, Samsung R&D, Mobikwik, Amazon, American Express, Royal Bank of Scotland, Tejas networks, IBM, Amazon, AWS, and Morgan Stanley are some of the MNCs that usually prefer to recruit DTU students. These companies offer a package of around 6-8 LPA. You may also be selected by Google, Microsoft, Apple, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, Codenation, and Facebook Germany & Ireland.

For placements, DTU is comparable to the top 7 IITs and top 3 NITs. NSUT Delhi is a great college but lags a bit in comparison to DTU in terms of placements. If you are going to study at DTU, choose your specialization according to this preference order- CSE> SWE> ISY. NSUT Delhi offers an M.Tech in CSE, Information Security, and AI.

These are some details about an M.Tech in CSE and related courses at DTU and NSUT Delhi.

Which AIIMS has the best hospital and good patient load (apart from AIIMS Delhi)?

PA
Puneet Aarya Posted On : June 6th, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences

Before giving you the name you are asking for, consider these points

  • All AIIMS are new and will take time to reach AIIMS Delhi standards
  • Despite being new, these AIIMS have excellent infrastructure and facilities in the arts and technology.
  • Every AIIMS has been witnessing continuous growth and no one can be considered inferior to the other

Yet, if I had to name one, then it would be AIIMS Rishikesh. The reason why I say this is that it kind of stands out among the new AIIMS with its rapid growth and facilities almost on par with AIIMS Delhi or PGIMER. Also, the increasing number of patients, consultants, and postgraduate students are a testament to the same. However, all the AIIMS are expected to soar high in the near future!

How do I clear the 1st year BDS exam in just 20 days under RGUHS?

TC
Tanuj Chandra Posted On : January 24th, 2023
Teaches Anatomy

If you have been studying for your college internals all year, you can pass the first-year BDS exam under RGUHS in just 20 days. If not, studying the past 10 years' worth of RGUHS Question papers from a Question bank will be helpful for you right now. Divide your topics in all first-year subjects into the following categories before moving forward:

  • Easy Topics
  • Moderate Topics
  • Problematic Topics
  • Never-read Topics

Once you have completed this table, you will be aware of your strengths and weaknesses. Now, look at the exam questions from the previous ten years to gauge your topical preparedness.

To increase your chances of success, create a timetable based on your strengths and weaknesses and try to adhere to 70% of it. Allocate time each day to studying anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry, the three medical subjects. Reserve Sundays for DA and DH only. Maintain a variety of study spots to provide your brain with spatial cues that will help you remember answers to questions during exams.

What is the best branch in NIT Surathkal?

SG
Seetal Garg Posted On : March 31st, 2022
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal

If we only consider placements, then CSE is the best branch in NIT Surathkal. This branch has a great placement record. NIT Surathkal CSE average package stays around INR 15-16 LPA.

If you want to join Govt sectors, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical are comparably better. You need to prepare for IES, for these jobs. Chemical Engineering is a good option if you want to join PSUs. In private sector, Chemical Engineering has limited scope.

What is better to do: an MBA from London (the University of Greenwich) or an MBA from Amity University, Noida?

KS
Krishanu Suri Posted On : March 1st, 2021
Amity University (2019)

You should go to London. In America, people value Western culture more. A person from IIT when competing with anyone will definitely outshine most of the time. But job applicants from Western companies seem to have a leg up.

You will get a lot of international exposure. You will be having the opportunity to learn, work and share your thoughts. You will be able to learn from the students coming in from all parts of the world.

One needs to learn to be independent as you have to manage studies, part-time jobs, cooking, doing groceries, washing, and everything all by yourself. At the end of the day, if you learn to manage all these things by yourself, you will look at yourself as a confident and independent person.

You will experience some culture shocks as well but at the same time, you will learn also. It’s just a matter of 1-2 years. You should go to the University of Greenwich if finances are not a big problem.

Is it better to pursue a BTech in BIT Mesra or in Thapar University, Patiala?

MA
Madhav Aneja Posted On : August 9th, 2023
Lived in Chandigarh, India

It’s better to pursue a BTech in BIT Mesra than at Thapar University owing to a number of reasons

  • BIT Mesra has no Management Quota so the quality of the crowd is much better than at Thapar University where any kind of student can get admission by just paying money.
  • Single rooms are provided for second-year boys which gives them a high level of privacy.
  • The CSE branch here is very competitive and students work hard to stay at the top.
  • BIT Mesra is well-known for its excellent coding culture and almost all CSE and IT students are involved in coding or development.
  • BIT Mesra has an excellent placement scenario and some of the top recruiters included Hashed In, Persistent Systems, Cognizant, Daffodil Software, Genpact, etc.

Ultimately, the decision is yours to make!
