What are some pictures of the first year hostel at NIT Hamirpur? Do we get single or double sharing rooms in the hostels?
The first-year students of NIT Hairpur are assigned to the Kailash Boys Hostel earlier had triple occupancy rooms. From 2019, the rooms became 4 seater. So you won't be getting single or double occupancy rooms in the first year. Here are some pictures of Kailash Boys Hostel as requested by you.

Some basic facilities in this hostel include a common TV room, a badminton court, a TT room, a gym, a reading room, and a volleyball court.
Is COE at Thapar University really good? Are there opportunities for internships?
COE is one of the best branches of Thapar University offering a plethora of job opportunities and exposure to students. Sparing a few professors, the department is blessed with some of the best faculty members.
The internship scenario specifically is great for this branch and one of my friends at Thapar University told me that 5 of his batchmates received internship offers from Microsoft IT. Other companies offering internship offers included Expedia, Snapdeal, Royal Bank of Scotland, ARM, etc. The students received stipends in the range of 20-40k per month. Most of these companies offer PPOs to their students.
Additionally, the research internships are great. One of my friends had the opportunity to intern at IIT Roorkee after his 2nd year. Many others got selected at IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, Kanpur, Guwahati, Ropar, Gandhinagar, Mandi, etc. The reputation of Thapar University is such that it plays a very positive role in the selection of students.
Overall, the brand value of Thapar University makes it possible for big companies to offer lucrative packages and roles.

How good is an M.Tech in industrial engineering and management from NIT Trichy? What are the job prospects?
An M.Tech in Industrial Engineering and Management from NIT Trichy is a very good course. The placements are also really good. Any company which comes to the campus for recruiting mechanical or production specialization students will also let you sit for their process.
There are many core companies in the data/business analytics, supply chain, and simulation sector which offer management-related profiles to the students.

I will suggest you to go some other institute preferably a NIT that charges less fees and offers better opportunities.
Is Ambedkar University better than Delhi University?
Ambedkar University and Delhi University both have different visions and different approaches towards teaching. You will get good faculty at both universities. So, it’s not fair to compare these institutes.
The major difference between the two institutes is that at Ambedkar University the course structure and syllabus get updated every semester based on the interest of the faculty and students. While DU is more traditional in terms of academics and exams.

- For Operating Systems, books like “Operating System Concepts” by Abraham Silberschatz, Peter B. Galvin, and Greg Gange. Modern Operating Systems by Andrew S. Tanenbaum is good.
- For Databases again the NPTEL course by Prof. D. Jankiram of IIT Madras is very promising. For short notes, you can refer to GeeksforGeeks.
- SQL queries can be learned from GeeksforGeeks and can be practiced on Hackerrank.
- For Networking, basic knowledge is required. “Computer Networks: A Systems Approach” by Larry L. Peterson will be helpful for you.

AIIMS Patna Vs AIIMS Nagpur which one should I pick in USMLE prep point of view? Are there students in AIIMS Patna preparing for USMLE?
Students from AIIMS, as well as State Colleges, prepare for USMLE. Medical colleges don’t help you with USMLE preparation, you have to work for it yourself.
But it does help to have batchmates and seniors who are preparing for the same. Also, a good record in extracurricular activities and research work will make for a strong application.
AIIMS Patna and AIIMS Nagpur, both have candidates preparing for their USMLE. However, AIIMS Patna was established in 2012, while AIIMS Nagpur, in 2018. Therefore, AIIMS Patna allows for more exposure and networking opportunities with seniors and alumni as compared to AIIMS Nagpur. Professors at AIIMS Patna are very encouraging in terms of research work participation by the students, and from the Batch 2020, students have to perform, in their 3rd or 4th year, one compulsory project.
Thus, AIIMS Patna has a few advantages over AIIMS Nagpur in USMLE preparation. However, at the end of the day, individual efforts and dedication are what matter the most.
