Chitkara University is better. It offers better academics. The course curriculum is designed according to the recent industry needs. The institute offers good infrastructure and sports facilities. The placements and internships offered to students are great.
The recent highlights of Chitkara University placements show the average CTC to be INR 7.5 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 32 LPA. More than 150 recruiters visit the campus placement each year. Overall, it is a great place to learn and grow.
An institute can be marked as good or not based on many factors, Quality of teaching, infrastructure, facilities, etc. MMU Mullana is good for MCA, as they provide good infrastructure and almost all basic needs.
The table below gives a brief comparison between MMU Mullana and CGC Landran.

Key highlights:
Considering all the facts, MMU Mullana will not be a good option for MCA.
There are numerous companies that come to visit CGC Landran around the time of campus placements.
From my knowledge, the packages for other streams are somewhat similar.
One of my cousins studied at CGC Landran. It is a prominent college that is considered among the top 100 institutions in the country. Let me share his first day at the college.
The classes begin from the first day itself and registration happens for the freshers. By any chance you skip the first day, you may do it by the other day.
When it comes to selecting a college, it's important to consider various factors such as the curriculum, faculty, infrastructure, location, and placement opportunities. If you are considering CGC and CU Gharuan, you may want to take note of the following information.
CGC is affiliated with Punjab Technical University (PTU), whereas CU Gharuan is a university in itself. While being affiliated with PTU has its advantages, such as following a standardized curriculum and receiving recognition from the university, it's important to note that not all colleges under PTU may be of the same standard.
On the other hand, CU Gharuan is a recognized university that offers a range of courses across different fields. The university has its own faculty, infrastructure, and curriculum that is designed to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience.
When it comes to placements, both CGC and CU Gharuan have a dedicated placement cell that assists students in finding job opportunities. However, it's important to note that placement outcomes are not solely dependent on the college, but also on various other factors such as the student's skills, interests, and abilities, and the industry requirements.
While some colleges under PTU may not have a good reputation, it's not fair to generalize and say that all colleges under PTU are of no use. Similarly, while CU Gharuan may be a good option for some students, it may not be the best option for everyone. It's important to thoroughly research and consider all the factors before making a decision.
The choice between PU and CGC Landran depends more on the branch than anything. However, the degree you will be getting from CGC Landran will be affiliated with Punjab Technical University. Overall, PU ranked 44 by NIRF this year while PRU was ranked 120 in 2021. This huge difference in rankings strongly claims that PU is better than PTU.
PU is a Government University while CGC is a private college affiliated with I.K Gujral University, Jalandhar. CGC is a good choice for those looking for a less expensive college and decent infrastructure. It’s great for engineering but the same cannot be said for other courses.
In my opinion, PU is a fairly better option and the following comparative analysis proves this further.

PU has a smaller batch size and its highest CTC is also better than CGC. So, it’s PU over CGC!
Both colleges have a good reputation but which is a better option that depends upon a number of factors. CGC Landran is ranked in 210-250 band by NIRF 2020 whereas DAVIET is ranked 100 by India Today.
Given below is a brief overview of the two colleges.

DAVIET fee structure is lower than CGC Landran. DAVIET has an average annual fee of Rs. 70,000 whereas CGC Landran has an average annual fee of Rs.96,000.
Scholarships:
CGC Landran offers merit scholarships, merit-means scholarships, scholarships for differently-abled students, etc.
DAVIET offers Post Matric Scholarships to eligible candidates from the reserved category as per the Punjab Govt/IKG PTU norm.
Placement:
CGC Landran has better placement (almost 100%) in IT/CSE department as compared to DAVIET Jalandhar and for core streams like Mechanical, Electrical etc both are equally good. On the other hand, DAVIET has a lower placement percentage but has a higher average salary as DAVIET does not allow mass recruiters which offer less than 3 LPA packages.
Every year top companies like Samsung, IBM, Microsoft, Dell etc visit both the campuses.
In terms of placement percentage, CGC Landran has led with 100% placement compared to DAVIET Jalandhar which has 85% placement.
The average package of both the colleges is the same 3.5 LPA.
The highest package of CGC Landran is 35 LPA whereas the highest package of DAVIET Jalandhar is only 10 LPA. As CGC is a group of institutions, it has advantages over the highest package data.
So, the choice of college purely depends on one’s priority. Placement wise CGC Landran has an edge over DAVIET but if you consider fee structure and campus location or exposure then DAVIET is better. DAVIET is located in Jalandhar city and hence has location advantage and better connectivity than CGC Landran. Academically both are equally good colleges and their average placement is similar. DAVIET has comparatively a smaller number of placements but quality placements and CGC has more placements from mass recruiters.

If you are looking for a college that provides engineering education at an affordable price with all the necessary infrastructure, CGC Landran can be a suitable option for you.
On the other hand, if you have a higher budget and can afford to pay the fees of more expensive colleges, Thapar and Amity can be good choices. In particular, Thapar is highly regarded for its engineering program and is consistently ranked among the top engineering colleges in India.
Here are some factors to consider when deciding which college to choose:
Overall, it is important to carefully consider your budget and requirements before deciding on an engineering college. If you can afford the higher fees, Thapar and Amity can be great choices. However, if you are looking for an affordable option that provides good quality education, CGC Landran can be a suitable option.
CGC Landran has a good reputation and is better known for placements of CSE/IT/ECE (IT Sector related streams). Mechanical stream placement of the college is averagely rated. The institute offers training for placement to its students.
Few core companies visit for the mechanical branch. The college claims that Mechanical branch recruiters like Bajaj and Mahindra and Mahindra visit their campus but the number of placements from these companies is low.
The average placement package of B. tech 2019 batch is 4.5 LPA and 1-2 students from a batch of 80 got packages of more than 9 lakh in IT-related branches. Most students in non-IT related branches land 3-4 LPA jobs.
Many students of mechanical branches here study coding to get placed in the IT Sector.
Placements Statistics:
The 2018-19 placement records have shown that 40-50% of students from the Mechanical department, among the eligible, were placed with median packages between 3 to 4 LPA. The year 2017-18 had shown almost the same results previously.
Most of these placements are in non-core sectors.
At last, if a student is skilful and has knowledge at par with the concerned industry standard then they will surely find good placement irrespective of college. There are some examples of students who did outstanding and got placed in top mechanical core companies like Royal Enfield, Mahindra & Mahindra and Bajaj.
