Talking particularly about the IT Branch, CGC Landran brings more than 200 companies for IT and CSE students. So, there is a huge opportunity for the students to grab placement offers and it completely depends on their performance of the placement procedure. The teachers of CGC Landran help the students a lot to get them prepared for the final placements. There are special pre-placement programs that help the students to brush up their skills and become placement-ready.

Students need to make sure, to sit in the placement, they must have 75+ attendance, good academics and they fulfill the companies criteria. Lately, the placement percentage of IT branches at CGC Landran was only 30%. This happened because of the ignorance of the students due to which many of them were on the debarred list and many of them were not interested in the placements. Hopefully, this information is much of your help. Thanks!

How are CGC Landran CSE placements?

SR
Sikhsha Roy Posted On : June 15th, 2021
B.Tech from Chandigarh Engineering College (2018)

I have a few friends at CGC and I heard good things about the institute from them. It is well-known for offering good placements and a decent academic environment.

  • CGC conducts prior pre-placement training, where you will be taught how to handle interviews for the recruiting companies.
  • Companies that approach the institutes, come along with their own personal criteria. Many companies set the required score range of 60%, 70% or even 80%.
  • Major recruiters at the placement drive are Amazon, Wipro, Microsoft, Cognizant, HCL, Deloitte, IBM, Maruti, Hyundai, etc. The highest CTC offered to the students according to the recent placement statistics is 35 LPA.
  • If you are want to secure a placement offer, try to master at least one computer language program. The competition gets intense when the number of students is 250+.

The institute conducts extra classes. These classes are about HR, group discussions, etc. Here, you will be given placement papers targeting certain companies by the teachers. At the weekend, you will be handed over modules and questions that concern that specific company.
