CGC Landran and CGC Jhanjeri are the same and run by the same management. The faculties of the college are also the same. The placements for both campuses take place at the same time. The students sit together for their placements.
I have a few friends at both institutes and most of them recommend Chandigarh Engineering college Landran campus over Jhanjeri campus because this campus is the oldest, the environment is good, and it is located near to Mohali.
CGC Landran is better in terms of infrastructure and faculty members as well. The CSC department of this college is good. According to the recent placement highlights the average and highest CTC offered at the institutes is 7 LPA and 35 LPA.
Once you come to the hostel, you must surround yourself with quality people and concentrate more on learning. You will get a huge amount of opportunities in CGC. You must not forget to attend all the TPP classes. This becomes the main reason why some students are not able to get placements. If you do not attend the classes, you will get debarred from TPP and this will also lower your chances to sit into the placements.

There are still some small things that you will need to purchase so make sure you have at least 3,000-4,000 in your ATM card. If you are lucky and are able to get good roommates then you don’t have to worry about anything.
I have a few friends at CGC Landran, and here are some things that they complain about.
So, these are some of the drawbacks of CGC Landran which the students are facing every year, and these conditions are needed to be resolved in order to improve.
Choose CGC Landran, if you are getting your proffered branch. It is the main campus. Other than this fact, there are no such differences between the two campuses. Academics, faculty, and facilities offered are almost similar in both. CGC Landran placements are the same as CGC Jhanjeri. As students sit for the same placements dive.

CGC Landran is not a good institute to pursue MBA, because the placement scenario is very poor in CGC Landran. There are joint placements drives for all three colleges which are CGC Landran, CGC Jhanjheri, and CU.
I know a few people from the institute and I have not received good reviews about the MBA program that they offer. You can join the institute if you are willing to opt for a job with a 20,000 salary after finishing your degree.
The average offered here ranges from 4-5 LPA with top recruiters like Wipro, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Deloitte, Aditya Birla Group, Tommy Hilfiger
Chitkara University is the best option among these. The university focuses on all-around personality development. Besides classroom teaching, students are encouraged to take part in co-curricular, techno-cultural events, and club activities. It is a way of life, that will follow you even after graduation.
It offers good placement opportunities, as well. Students received the median CTC of INR 7.50 LPA during Chitkara University placements in 2021.
CGC Landran has an aesthetically pleasing campus. The building is well-designed. There are spacious classrooms equipped with modern teaching aids. The campus has a great location. You can easily get to the campus from different parts of the city. CGC Landran offers an enviable campus experience.
Students are provided with many international opportunities like MUN. Through the Model UN platform, students can get an insight into the United Nation works and the diplomatic collaborations. The institute organizes various workshops and guest lectures for students around the academic year.
For CSE, Chandigarh University is the best option among these. The university offers good academics and placement opportunities. The department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chandigarh University has a dedicated faculty base. The department facilitates high-end research according to the industry challenges.
According to the recent placement highlights, Chandigarh University CSE average package is INR 7 LPA. From the department, around 93% of students get placed each year.
Both Chitkara and CGC Landran are at the same level. As far as placements are concerned, both of them offer excellent placements with well-developed placement cells.
UPES is definitely more concentrated on petroleum and chemical engineering. It also has some unique courses and a really good reputation and you will get to learn a lot. Fees might be a little expensive though.
My advice to you would be to not choose electronics and communication engineering at either of them because placements are not that great and you don’t want to end up with CSE students and learn coding in the last few months of your college.
The table below should help you out with placement statistics and fees regarding the same:

While the fees for UPES are quite high, you can expect to get a similar return on your investment. At the same time, you will not be pestered for admissions like in my brother’s case with regards to CGC Landran and CU. The faculty at UPES is very good too.
