You will be placed from the BIT Mesra (main) campus after your final semester. As most of the placements happen at Mesra campus, you will get the opportunity to showcase your skills in front of big-shot brands like Amazon, Flipkart, Directi, etc. For the 2023 placements from the Jaipur campus, as per now, the highest package for B.Tech stands at INR 51 LPA and the median package stands at INR 8.2 LPA. A total of 53% B.Tech students from the Jaipur campus have been placed.
Moreover, your degree will have the BIT Mesra tag, your campus name (Jaipur Campus) will not be mentioned in your degree ( this is regardless of whichever campus you belong to). As BIT Mesra is a brand in itself, you will easily grab a good job after your degree. However, you should consult the alumni from the Jaipur campus to know about the teaching faculty for CSE over there. This is because faculty matters as much.
BIT Jaipur campus is a good place to pursue your B.Tech CSE in terms of placements. You should talk to the seniors and alumni of the college to find out about the faculty and overall environment over there.
As per the new rules declared in 2018-19, you must clear a total of 179 credits (regular) and 129 credits (LE) to get your degree. If your total credits are greater than the above-said criterion, you can definitely skip the extra credit subject if you want to. For example, if you have a total credit score of 182, then you can willingly skip 182-179=3 credit subjects.
Now, suppose you have skipped one of your exams. The SGPA calculation on skipping the exam would be as follows:
|
Grade |
Score |
|
O |
10 |
|
E |
9 |
|
A |
8 |
|
B |
7 |
|
C |
6 |
|
D |
5 |
|
F |
2 |
|
M |
0 |
|
S |
0 |
The credit points per subject (CP) = Score* Credits of that subject
Credit Index (Sem)(CI)= Sum of all subjects*CP
Total credits (TC)= Total credit of each semester (Exclude the credits of the skipped subject)
SGPA=CI/TC.
This would be the new way to calculate your SGPA, once you skip an exam.
MBA is offered as a 2 year full time program MBA in India. It is one of the most popular postgraduate courses in India. Admission in MBA is based on the CAT, XAT, CMAT, Gmat, etc. exams. The entire Chartered Accountant course takes 5 years for completion. Students have to go through a CPT (Common Proficiency Test) which will lead to the inclusion in ICAT (Indian Chartered Accountants Institute).
The table given below shows a brief overview of both programs:

MBA Recruiting Companies -
The top recruiting companies include Deloitte, Accenture, Infosys, Capgemini, Citibank, ITC, Nestle, Saint Gobain, JP Morgan, Wipro, Microsoft, Phillips, Reliance, L&T, McKinsey & Company, Avendus, Asian Paints, etc.
CA Recruiting Companies -
The top recruiting companies include JP Morgan, KPMG, Deloitte, E&Y, Federal Bank, Lodha & Co., IDFC Bank, Luthra & Luthra, Citibank, Edelweiss, Morgan Stanley, etc.
Admission:
The amount invested in a CA is less compared to an MBA degree. Out of 100 only 3-5% of candidates are able to qualify with CA and get certified. 90-95% of candidates who opt for MBA courses end up getting good jobs with generous salary packages. So the demand of pursuing MBA is much higher in India than CA.
Trying to complete the entire course overnight is common among B.Tech. students. This is because general subjects like P.C Professional communication, Product development, Environment science, etc require minimum effort. But try not to complete the course overnight for core subjects.
I have listed below some tips that will help you complete the course overnight:
First and foremost don't try to complete the entire syllabus. Focus on getting minimum marks. For this, you need to study only the important topics.
Instead of referring to the course books, go for short notes. The best option is Quantum Guides.
Divide your time and giveequal time to each topic. Remember timemanagement is the key.
If you have completed the major topics, switch to the less important ones.
Make sure you revise whatever you have studied at night an hour or two before the exam.
Go through previous year papers thoroughly.
These tips are meant for everyone in general but the results may vary depending on each individual's capacity.

TLF is a flagship program at Plaksha University. But it's you who has to decide if it's worth your time. You can go through their brochure, research the people involved in the program and decide if it coincides with your ideologies and goals. One of my friends has completed his PGDIE from NITIE and as a TA he has received 12400/- per month.
However, the stipend for 12400 is paid to the students to get themselves involved in the professors’ TAs work, but the students aren’t paid anything during summer internships.
A friend of mine provided me with a clear picture of how the MBA program is at BIT Mesra. The management department at BIT Mesra was established back in 1979 and has resourceful faculty.

This year a lot of great companies visited BIT Mesra for the recruitment process. Some prominent companies are ICICI bank, Bandhan bank, Bajaj, Godrej, Airtel, Biju’s, etc.
It is better than any private college with a similar placement record. In short BIT Mesra is a good place where you can better equip yourself with the facilities available and grab the best out of it for a better future.
One of my cousins is an ECE student at NIT Delhi. She loved the fact that the batch size was small and every student received individual attention from the faculty. Some of the labs are not well-equipped but you can find almost every faculty there. The opportunities offered to NIT Delhi students are more than their counterparts because of the small batch size.
My cousins made many new friends in 4 years. Alarmist everyone from her batch got placed in good companies and no one regretted joining NIT Delhi. Last year, the average package for ECE was around INR 15 LPA. Some students even had 2 offers by the end of the placement drive. Even the labs and hostel facilities have been improved ever since it started operating from the new campus.
Overall ECE at NIT Delhi is definitely worth it!
MTech Placements at IIT Kanpur in general are a tad bit better than BTech placements both core and non-core. You can find this trend in aerospace too. In fact, some BTech students convert their degrees into dual degrees to enable them to sit for MTech placements as well. The high placements stem from
Thus, both core and non-core placements are better for MTech students than for BTech students.
Your hostel life actually depends on your batch and the friends you make. There are no particular rules and it’s you who has to set the routine of your college life. You can wake up at your convenience. Classes start at 9:30 am whereas breakfast is served at 8 am. It’s up to you if you want to spend your morning exercising and reading or rushing to your classes.
The lectures usually end around 4: 30 while some at 6. The lectures give you a break for lunch. Once the lectures end you can spend your time on any activity. Some spend their time hanging out while some prefer studying. It’s up to you how you utilize your free time.
If you are part of a club most of your time will be invested in meetings, events, parties, presentations, night outs, and many other activities. Your college life will keep you extremely busy that you will even have hardly any time to complete your sleep. But these are your best days so create as many memories as you can.
