It is certainly improving the present UG placement scenario and hopes it will continue this year to upgrade in the years ahead. The PG scenario is very different from the well-known businesses - all from Axis Bank to Zee Entertainment Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. - coming in and picking up students as new additional employees.
Before 2017, the MTech Mechanical department saw only 40%-50% placements with PPOs which were places of internships for students as well; as part of the MTech project. MTech Mechanical in CAD CAM saw 10-15 placements in 2017; most of the students did get internships with Siemens, Fiat Chrysler, and Cummins.
The department has good labs, over 27 faculty members, and 85 seats with a distribution of 18-25 each for the 4 MTech specializations.
The table below highlights the placement facts of the mechanical engineering department for MTech in 2018-19

Among RIMS Imphal and NEIGRIHMS Shillong, the latter is a better option. In the northeastern region, it is the first post-graduate medical institute. It is an autonomous institute, which is run by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The faculties at the institute are great. Many guest speakers visit the institute from Delhi. It also has a better patient flow. Although the campus of NEIGRIHMS is smaller as compared to RIMS Imphal, it offers better infrastructure.
yes, PGIMS Rohtak (Pt. B.D. Sharma PGIMS) does have a bond for MBBS students — it's the standard Haryana state rural service bond.
details of the bond:
what's specific to PGIMS Rohtak that most answers miss — PGIMS is a Haryana state government institution, so the bond is a state-level obligation enforced by the Haryana Medical Council. unlike some states where enforcement is lax, Haryana is relatively strict. always verify the exact current terms with the PGIMS admission office or Haryana Medical Council before joining, as bond terms can change between admission years.
It is unfortunate that NIT Durgapur is so underrated. It is a good college but it hasn’t received the recognition it deserves.
People believe that the ‘top’ NITs and IITs offer something very different. However, when you delve deeper, you’ll find that NIT Durgapur offers all the facilities and opportunities that these premiere institutes have to offer. The administration of this college is slow. But things are improving at a rapid rate.
NIT Durgapur offers a qualified faculty and good placement/internship opportunities. The culture of West Bengal ensures a nurturing environment for research.
This is the only NIT that has signed an MOU with CERN Geneva. Because of this, 3rd-year B.Tech grads get the opportunity to visit CERN Geneva, Switzerland for a summer internship.
Unfortunately, people do not research properly. They feel only IITs and ‘top’ NITs (or BITS) can offer all the facilities to their students. NIT Durgapur, however, proves that this mentality is totally wrong.
I am a dual degree student at IIIT Hyderabad. According to me, a dual degree is a really good choice. One of my seniors got an internship offer from Facebook London for this summer, during her 5th year. The summer before that she interned at Google Dublin and during her 3rd year, she did GSoC.
Dual degree students have at least a year extra as compared to single degree students. This is a huge advantage and they can utilize the extra time they get for internships and projects without the burden of placements and a heavy coursework load.
Thus, dual degree students at IIIT Hyderabad do go for internships and projects.

Pros-
Surreal campus
Excellent professors for finance, marketing, and operations.
Students from diverse backgrounds make it a more appealing experience.
Workshop at the end of the year helps in practical lessons.
Second year offers the option of electives. So you can choose different topics from different streams based on your interests and career.
Cons: The only con is that campus visits are as rare as 4 in 2 years.
The EPGP course at IIM Kozhikode is extremely beneficial for an IT professional’s career growth.
