Yes, there are hostel facilities at KJ Somaiya for MBA students. You will learn a number of life skills there. You will experience many things. These include having downright discussions with your roommates on topics like football, politics, and business. You will also make many friends during your stay here.
Hostel:
The hostel is known as SIMSR and has two buildings: ‘Sandipani’ for boys and ‘Maitriyi’ for girls. Each room here is triply shared and is quite spacious and well ventilated. It has individual study tables and a wardrobe. It also has a shower and hot water supply.
Food:
- If you are concerned about the food, rest assured that you do not need to worry. The hostel serves four meals a day with varieties in the food ranging from pav-bhaji, dosa, chole bhature, and even dessert.
- Even if you are working late and decide to grab something to eat, the SIMSR hostel has a night mess as well.
Hang-out Spots:
You can also hang out at the gym, TT room, and activity room where all the action is. The campus is lush green with a big amphitheater.
The cleaning crew will also make sure that hygiene is maintained. There is an ample amount of parking for cars and two-wheelers. This place is definitely a home away from home.

How good is it to study Aerospace Engineering at SASTRA University?
Aerospace Engineering is among the newly established branches at SASTRA University. It has good infrastructural facilities with well-equipped labs. Aerodynamics (low and high speed) lab, Gas dynamics lab, Structures, and Propulsion lab are some of the laboratory facilities available.
The faculty base of the Aerospace department is quite good. The faculty members have M.Tech and PhDs from reputed institutes of India. The department is growing fast in teaching as well as research and consultancy.
Students from this department got placed in organizations like Rolls Royce, Lockheed Martin, ISRO, DRDO. Many students are also pursuing higher studies in IITs and abroad.

What would I miss if I join Dr. RMLIMS instead of KGMU, Lucknow?
If you join Dr RMLIMS instead of KGMU, Lucknow, you would be missing the opportunity to be a part of one of the top 5 medical colleges of India. You would miss the Georgian tag. You will miss the rich legacy attached to the institute. You would miss campus life at a huge college. You will miss the amazing infrastructure no use. RMLIMS is an excellent medical college but it is still way behind KGMC by a significant margin. It has recently launched the UG course i.e. MBBS so it will take time to establish itself.
All in all, KGMC is the better option at least as of now.
What should I do to pass in backlog subjects of WBUT (now MAKAUT) ?
My friend also had a backlog in two subjects and the following strategy helped him clear the backlog easily.
- Learn the formulas: Practicing is not enough. You need to mug up the formulas so that even if you are stuck on a question, you can write the formula that will fetch you a few marks based on step marking.
- Last year’s questions: Practicing previous years' question papers is very crucial as there are high chances of repetition of questions.
- Understand the concepts through video: Instead of reading and learning big answers, watch knowledgeable videos that make you understand the concept easily.
- Notes: After completing every chapter, make important notes. This ensures effective revision during exams and saves time.
- MCQ & Short notes: Usually MCQs and short notes are repeated from the last year. So go through them. These are scoring and reducing the chances of backlog.
Lastly, stay motivated and positive and you are good to go.

Here are some useful tips for GATE Civil preparation.
- Know the syllabus thoroughly. Having a clear idea about the subject-wise weightage is crucial for creating a strategic preparation plan.
- Don’t miss Engineering Mathematics, Water Resources, Geometrics Engineering, General Aptitude, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering. These topics constitute more than 50% of the total marks.
- Mix up the subjects while revising the syllabus and covering the subjects. Studying multiple subjects is more effective and results in better focus.
- Prepare short notes about difficult formulas and concepts. Go through them regularly.
- Solve chapter-wise, subject-wise and full-length test series. Solve the previous years' questions.

I got IIIT Dharwad CSE. Is it good to join there or shall I proceed to round two? What is the mentor institute for IIIT Dharwad?
IIIT Dharwad is a newly established institute and it will be better not to make high expectations from this institute yet. It is running as a temporary campus at IT Park. Still, things have got little changes as it has permanent faculty, sports ground, labs infrastructure, as it got the mentor-like IIIT Bangalore.
You must go for round 2 without any doubt. Because this institute is running in a provisional campus in a free building and the college administration does not have a single penny to pay rent or take a permanent campus. Everything is going on charity in this institute.
Infrastructures, lab facilities, hostels, mess, administration, and most importantly, the placement is lagging; in short, all these are very poor.

Students get extremely worst treatment here, specifically in the hostels, as it has no facilities and the mess is completely pathetic.
Thus, it is requested not to join this institute, as the college environment is impoverished than any other private institute. College administration is totally frustrated and not even able to run the central Government institute.
It is better to select some other private college rather than this IIIT. However, attendance here is very reluctant, which is 85%, but college administration considers the below percentage if the student gives them any excuses.
What kind of hardships do students suffer in top law colleges like NLSIU, Nalsar or NUJS?
One of my friends studied at NUJS. According to her, hardships have varied reasons from academics to personal.
- The Cases/readings are worth easily 500 pages every day, preparing summaries/case briefs, Tutorials and then projects, presentations, vivas, and the tiring final semesters all comprise the academic hardships.
- Due to internships, you will miss your vacations. Internships are a temporary glimpse into what life will be like.
- After getting the grind to excel and to get placed / PPOs, some students suffer from existential crises, emotional upheavals, urge for infinite sabbaticals, etc.
- The burden of studies and placements takes a toll on your personal life.
- Case briefs become a reason for discord rather than unity.
- The healthy competition suddenly gets replaced by a rat race.
Lastly, all the things like hobbies, extra-curricular, etc. disappear. But even after all the hardships, it still is the best time of a student’s life at NLSIU.
What is the average placement of IMS DAVV Indore?
Almost all students who are serious about their job get placed at IMS DAVV. Placement records of sales and marketing fields are amazing when compared to the finance or HR field at the Indian Institute of Management studies DAVV. The domestic package offered might range from 3.5 to 6.5 LPA. One thing worth mentioning is that you are competing with IIPS students along with your batchmates at IMS as there will be common placement sessions for both campuses most of the time.
