One of my friends studied at Lady Hardinge Medical College. According to her, the experience in the Lady Hardinge Medical College can be depicted as such:
- First Year- The experience at the first year was not up to the mark as the syllabus, college and the city were not soothing. The only thing to like was the city Delhi and its name.
- Second Year- You can hang out more in the city and would be used to everything that happens in the college.
- Third Year- The pressure in the third year is less than that of the previous two years and the college gives a home-like feeling.
- Fourth Year- You will start having an emotional connection with the college and start to regret thinking about the time you will leave the campus.
Internship -
- The best part of college life is the time one spends during the internship.
- Staying at the hospital and campus the whole year and having outside food is the best that one can experience.
There are certain advantages of studying in Lady Hardinge College too. Being an all-girls college, it helps girls to feel comfortable, safe, and independent at any time be it 3 am. The location is just the best and has the best food outlets.
The infrastructure is good. However, the new hostel is better. The auditorium is the best place on the campus. The institute provides good academics and has all the facilities available including the labs, libraries, dissection halls, LT’s, etc.
How is food in the mess at BITS Hyderabad?
Before beginning with my answer, I would like for you to make a note that no mess food can ever compete with home food. So it is not worth it to compare the two.
Coming to BITS Hyderabad, the mess food is quite decent. There are two messes on the campus, and they serve both North and South Indian meals on most days.
At first, you’ll be delighted by the variety of dishes served by the messes. But as time goes by, you’ll get bored of eating the same kind of food, served strictly according to the mess time table. Further, you’ll begin to miss your mom’s recipes, which will ultimately make you think that the food at the hostels is not good at all. Because of all this, you’ll start eating at the cafeteria or miss some meals altogether.
Speaking in a more practical and evaluative fashion, the mess food at BITS Hyderabad is certainly better than many IITs and NITs. You’ll be served decent and satisfactory meals at the college.
What are the placement statistics of the department of Geology and Geophysics at IIT Kharagpur?
Around 90% of students in this department get placed. However, the core job offers are very limited and most of them go for other options. Firstly, The students from BITS Pilani, Goa, got exposed to club activities in non-technical fields in the first year itself, which played a major role in decreasing their interest in the core subjects and starting to cross over to other nontechnical skills. They only understood their exact passion for the core subject after doing the compulsory branch courses in the third year. And they finally started to build up their technical skills in the last year. This tendency only leads to a lack of experience in the technical field.
Secondly, most of the students here are not actually passionate about their courses because cut-offs decided their careers. This lack of interest decreases productivity.
Thirdly, the students give more importance to the CGPA and have the tendency to mug up every topic without having a deep understanding. Of course, a CGPA is good for higher education. But most of the students end up lacking technical skills in their field due to this tendency.
And there are so many other reasons, including a lack of course projects and electives, an increase in competitive coding culture, and so on.

What is the placement scenario at IMS (Indore) for MBA?
When you look at Tier 3 cities, you should not expect good placements as compared to those you might bag in metro cities. The same is true for IMS Indore as well. It could be the best college in Madhya Pradesh, but the MBA program offered by the college is clearly not as enriching as that offered in a metro city. This will eventually affect placements which will cause them to be poorer.
