How is CSE at Sharda University, Greater Noida Compared to CSE at IIMT, Greater Noida?

- According to me, BITS Pilani is the best option for those who want to pursue CSE. The curriculum has been designed in a way that will help the students to get thorough knowledge of the domain. The curriculum has an equal focus on theoretical and practical subjects.
- However, you need to be prepared to learn many courses per semester. You will be truly busy during the four years of this course with too many assignments, lab tests, quizzes, etc.
- You will need adequate practice and hard work to ace the tests. However, at BITS Pilani we believe in smart work instead of hard work.
- The total fee for this 4-year CSE course is around INR 22 lakhs including the hostel fees. The median salary for 2023 stood at INR 18.20 LPA. The top recruiters include Adobe, Accenture, Apple, Cipla, Bajaj Finserv, Cognizant and many more.
Which is better, CSE at IIITM Gwalior or ECE at IIIT Delhi for a student of MP?
Pursuing CSE from IIITM Gwalior will be better. In general, CSE offers better career opportunities than ECE. IIITM Gwalior placements are great for CSE. Students of the branch get average CTC of around INR 14 LPA. Reputed companies such as Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Code Nation, Paytm, etc. visit the campus placements.
Where is branch upgradation from EE to CS easier, IIT Mandi or IIT Jodhpur?
Branch change from EE to CSE is easiest at IIT Jodhpur. Here, students who have scored a 9+ CGPA can change their branch as there are no additional criteria. If you are talking about an easier branch change from EE to CSE, it would definitely be IIT Jodhpur, as here there is a rule that if you score a CGPA of 9+ then you can change your branch to any branch of your choice.
When my friend was a student at IIT Mandi a few years ago, she told me that 10 students from the EE branch changed their branch to CSE and a total of about 18 students from other branches changed their branch to CSE, and about 10 students from different branches to EE. Surprisingly enough, the last student to change his branch to CSE had a CGPA of 8.67.
Thus, branch upgradation is easier at IIT Jodhpur than at IIT Mandi.
Which one is better for CSE MAIT, MSIT, BVP or Thapar University in terms of packages and quality of education?
NIRF has ranked MAIT, MSIT, BVP, and Thapar University in 251, 263, 98, and 29 in India. MAIT, MSIT, BVP offer a BTech program in CSE whereas Thapar offers a BE program for the same.

What would be a better choice in terms of placements: SRM Kattankulathur (IT) or NIT Manipur/Mizoram/Sikkim (CS)?
I completed my BTech CSE from NIT Manipur in 2021. NITs consistently perform well in terms of placements. NITs fees are much lower compared to SRMIST and other private engineering colleges.

NIT Manipur has the best placement figures among the three NITs. As per NIRF 2023 Engineering Ranking, NIT Manipur ranks 95th, while NIT Sikkim ranks in the 151-200 bracket.
NITs are “Institutes of National Importance''. NITs are government colleges. They come next in line to IITs for their high brand value. Though SRM Chennai is a well-known college, it does not carry the same reputation as the IITs and NITs. Due to these factors, I had decided to pursue BTech CSE from NIT Manipur.
Which is better BITS GOA CSE or NIT Trichy, Surutkal, Warangal CSE?
In case of the brand name, BITS Goa is somewhat equivalent to both NIT Trichy and NIT Warangal. But, in terms of placements, BITS Goa is multiple steps ahead of NIT Trichy. Following it comes NIT Warangal. Here is the detailed breakdown of each aspect,
- The placements students secure at BITS Goa are in the same range as the old IITs. The range of placements is not as much as is found in both BITS and old IITs, except IITH.
- The average CSE package of BITS Goa was found to be INR 26 LPA for a first semester student, while it was INR 22.3 LPA for a second semester student. When comparing these statistics to NIT Trichy, it was INR 18 LPA, while the average amount stood at around INR 16.5 LPA at NIT Warangal, for the CSE department.
- The flexibility, nonetheless, is better at BITS Goa, unlike the two. You can choose the professor of your choice, create a timetable when necessary, you will have the freedom to choose a unique dual degree at a practice school system, alongside internship opportunities and a variety of other perks.
- The fee structure is better at both NIT Trichy and NIT Warangal than BITS Goa. The fees can range up to about 22 to 23 lakhs at BITS Goa, while it is only 9 lakhs at any NIT. The fee structure is probably the only drawback BITS Goa arrives with.
- The peer quality is better at BITS Goa. Most essentially, it has no reservation quota.
If fee structure is not an issue, then BITS Goa has an upper hand than the other two. However, it depends upon your choice at the end of the day.
Which is better, IIT Hyderabad CSE or NIT Warangal CSE?
IIT Hyderabad CSE is better. It offers better salary packages and exposure. According to the recent highlights of IIT Hyderabad, the average CTC for the CSE branch is around INR 20 LPA.
Hyderabad is an IT hub and has all major corporate houses in the IT sector. So, it’s easier to get internships and placements. IIT Hyderabad organizes regular hackathons, seminars, and workshops. The institute also collaborates with IIIT Hyderabad often for events.
